    SSA's Daily fitness iHop

My workouts suck now. Kcal depletion is finally catching up. Cardio every morning. Elliptical gets a promised 5 min of that. I do interval to get my heart rate up and then either walk, stay on the elliptical for max heart rate, or if it's a long cardio day, sometimes 90+ min on 75-100% resistance. Every day I do a dumbbell routine of 6 reps and it's a full body circuit. I aim for a minimum of 3 circuits a day. I do chin ups or pull ups, and squat 135 every evening. For heavy lifting I break into a 4 day 3 way split. Every week one body part gets hit 2 times. It's been tough to keep myself honest on this. Some times my overall workouts suffer, so when I'm to weak to lift heavy I aim for total volume and time under tension. Yoga at least 3 days a weak but it's next to worthless now. My posture is almost back to acceptable, but I'm going to need help to got much further. My hips complex is a hot mess even without the extra 240 pounds. I'll be excited when I can unrestrict my food and hopefully gain some of that lost strength back. Losing muscle mass is hard mentally.

I hate hood's. And I hate how they look on a jacket too. However. Rain is a thing.

I know. I actually feel the same way 99.9% of the time. When I was snowboarding I always tucked it. I wish they would give the obligatory neck rolled up hood. I'm not sure I can justify a durable outer shell that won't keep anything out of my neck. Otherwise they look to be exactly what I want. Maybe what they consider a lighter weight coat would be good enough for me. Or it's go balls deep and get the jumper!

I've been looking at their stuff. It looks like they don't make hood's on their heavy weight stuff. I like those klim gloves. I actually like them more than my leather grandoess. Those are getting pretty old however. Maybe 5 years of me ham fisting around. I've been gentle but sweat seems to take it's toll on gloves more than anything.

Googling...... I never ever thought of sledding gear. Fucking yasss. I'll bet they make their shit out of strength, hate, and beer! If you got caught in a deluge of rain would it keep you dry? Zippers up and not on a sled, walking etc. As in could it be used as a less expensive shell. I'm sure the pants are even better than most weak ass outdoor pants today. Even "hard wearing" snowboard pants suck dick until you fork over a child or 2.

My immune system is in fact too strong. It's not the virus my my body's reaction to it. After the fight with the virus is over, I have this extra large army of white blood cells. I'm my body, some of the guys who decide who the bad bugs in my body are just fascist. Like Stalin they start thinking the locals are out to get them and they send the angry hoard at my knees and tendons. Basically giving me flu like pain etc, they problem is for me it can be long term, my cells are actually attacking the tissue, not just hurting it through inflammation. Inflammation is what causes the misery, and I can cope with that, the meds do help prevent long term damage and that's the real reason I take it. I'm in pain every moment of every day in a lot of my body. As long as I'm respectful of my starting point in pain, I am fine, and more functional that most. Once insurance starts back up, I'll get back on the big pharma teet. My dose is >$2500 out of pocket and as an aside, I plan on talking to my doc about switching drugs anyway.

Dude, this is a nightmare. I feel relatively good. But when I don't sleep it basically feel a like I have constant aches and pains. And I'm still officially sick because my sinuses are draining. I am balso without the drug that controls my autoimmune disorder for about a month. I don't know that the lack of medication is related, but I would bet it's not helping.

They never have my size! Also according to the EB website, I am larger than a 3x.... and they don't make the harder shells past a 2x. At least this year they have none. Maybe due to closeouts. You should see this kuhl jacket I picked up. It was an embarasing about of money for what they have listed as a 50 degree coat. The arm cut allowed me to raise my arms above my head in a jacket however. I haven't been able to do that in a decade. And the canvas can be oiled, so I thought, I'll try it. Only coat <$500 that didn't fit like a moo moo in the waist, or physically pinch my shoulders together. Even this coat is a bit snug across my shoulders. The Arc'teryx looked like it had a similar shape and I was amped to see D100. Why do you like the eVent more than the gortex-pro? If it works better for my needs I'm not loyal to any brand of anything.

I haven't slept well in 3 days. Like 2 or 3 hours at a time every 12 hours or so.... I wake up feeling ok at first but now it's to the point where I know that in 2 hours I'm going to slip into what must be the last 20% of my psyche before I manifest my own Tyler Durton. This would be insanely productive if it wasn't also plagued by what feels like what I imagine most CIA agents felt like when they were "volunteered" for low dose operations of MK-ultra protocol. I haven't done shit and I feel like shit because working out to exhaust myself did nothing. Heavy deads, nothing, 15 sets of squats the next day, 3 hours, 20 sets for my chest day... 2.5 hours this morning. Woo hoo!!!! What I have done is catch up on news, my fave YouTube engineering channels, and silently wept dry tears from lack of sleep. Aparently we are on the cusp of the new human are of plenty and wonderment, or it's nearly the end of days. Anyway, any of you engineering dudes watch any good educational engineering tubes? I just smashed through probably 10 hours of Ave' S channel. Fuckin skookem, eh? Maybe some rednile if I want to learn some chem. I'm always balls deep in 3blue1brown, the scishow family of channels, I reread. Few good books and reviewed them on crash course(then gave up and just watched the entire series on lit, mythology, religion, Psychology, A&P, etc etc)

I'm going to branch out though. I feel like an AK variant is needed for true opulence. Also stamped steel frames are probably super cheep for them. Maybe a ma duece for magnum bottles.
