    Welcome to the IHoP

lol. Yup, and thanks! Sean 2 never thought to drain it, just did what was asked of him, and I didn't think about it being in there because I always do drain it. I was more amused than anything. The wife however walked out just in time to see the flames wrap around me. She was not as amused. Reason number 3 billion I need to get my egg off the ground and on a stand.

You burn your lips too? Did you forget to burp the egg or what happeneD? I soak my wood chunks in booze, this time some horrible orange brandy (it was with the tripple sec and I thought it was a cheeper version of Grand Ma') before putting them on in the coals. I had just taken the ribs off and asked Sean deuce to grab the mesquite chunks from the bag, put them in something fire proof to pour them into the egg and bring it to me. We lifted the ceramic difuser plate to the side and I tossed in the chunks. He didn't know what was going on and didn't drain the chunks. Basically the difuser plate acted as a funnel and all the fire blasted up at my smiling face. My beard saved me some serious burns I bet, however I probably looked like a tard wiping down my flaming face with an arm that was on fire. Nothing serious, just banged up ego, and some tender skin.

It was. I hope I'm healed up tomorrow. I need to shave as my beard was burned a tad lopsided.... I just couldn't bear to bring the razor to my face. :9

Those ribs were great man. The rub was just right and I made a sticky plum and ginger glaze for them. I only ate 2-4 bones worth that night though as my lips were not feeling so great. I drank 2 vodka tonics through a straw and went to bed. Thank god there were a couple left over for breafast.

I made some of the best ribs I've ever done though. The pork buts involved in my face being on fire however turned out on the dry side.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I lit my face on fire and then had my truck break down next to one of the most expencive shops in MN on memorial day. Goodie.

    Welcome to the IHoP

i rented a jack hammer and knocked apart 2 ponds. Today and tomorrow will be worse though, moving the concrete. We didn't have to knock the bottom of the ponds out thank god. we're just putting dirt over it to make a garden on both of them. Maybe a small water feature though.

4 feet long huh? It was probably about 2.5' long. It was pretty ridiculous. Best part about that is when you run out of ammo you can drop the clip and start beating your enimy about the neck and head with a *slightly* less inefficient overpriced club.

x2 another cool thing, my xdm holds like 19rds True enough.... But I can't load more than 10-12 without the tool. It's SO hard after that my fingers just won't do it.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I heard reliability was the issue. I'm sure it was just their bias. I did feel that to grab it my hand was naturally angled wrong when I had the sites on target. The 1911 and XD was like magic. I point and thats where the lead goes. I actually like the XD a bit more as my fingers are shorter than most guys.

I know. The .308 was about 30 cents a round or so, so I couldn't complain too much. One of my friends has a reloading system and he said if I buy the die and the components I could use it anytime. I know if I do get a .338 I will be reloading for damn sure.

It was this but I got a little bit better of a deal. I think it was due to open box. Still in the sealed vinal "battle pack". Steel core in case the zombiez are wearing armor or behind bullet proof glass http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/1000-rds-308-cal-147-gr-fmj-ammo.aspx?a=604946

    Welcome to the IHoP

I got a SWEET deal on some .308 brass for less than .45. As for the AK the roomates dad snapped up a steal of a deal and we got 1000 free rounds.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Have you ever had the chance to shoot a nicer AR Ryan? For sheer joy when I'm cracking off .308 as fast as I can with that much down range accuracy it's pretty wild! The AK 47 is a riot and puts lead down range so well, and in a lousey enviroment I would pick that over the AR, but the solid feel of the AR combined with the extra powder behind the same caliber projectile is awesome. It's definately a confidence inspiring thing to shoot. Makes .223 feel almost worthless... almost.

    Welcome to the IHoP

The family that got me involved in shooting hates gloks. I have never even picked one up to shoot it due to their bias. And where I grew up it was a gangsta' handgun. I have heard that they are much improved though. Maybe I get one and just don't let them see it's a Glok. I love that pistol. Nice sites on it too. I <3 trij. I have their night sites on my 1911. I would LOVE to port my XDM in 9mm. It snaps up at the front so sharply. Such a light frame with 20 9mm rounds weighing the back down don't help either. The 10mm is one thumper of a round man. 700 foot pounds of but kicking. Makes my .45 seam a bit shallow. I also didn't think it would be so cheep to buy rounds for it. .50 cents and under! You have me thinking now!

    Welcome to the IHoP

I have actually! I would have to shoot one first and it's definatly interesting. From my understanding they are built on the .223 frame not the .308 frame correct? I can't get onto many weapon sites from work, and since the laptop is kaput at home I'm researching less than I would like. Being tied to the tower in the basement is hard for me. I also want a bolt action. I love working the bolt on the 7mm and wanted that feeling.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I personally don't own a .22LR. I kind of wish I did, but I know so many guys that do I could always find one to go kill cans or similar. They bring the rifle I bring the ammo and it's a good day. Up untill very recently though I didn't have an area to plink, just actuall ranges that are more structured and targety, and way less old timey plinking fun. Have you ever done the empty cans in a stream plinking? What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How on earth can you not own a .22? They are pretty much the most badass little cartridge ever! You can shoot all day for 20 bucks, cheap rifles, accurate, and can touch things out to 200yrds if you do your part. I know I know! Everyone I know just owns a couple of them so I always borrow. It might be worth the $$ right now as I have a new spot to shoot, but before it was all range time and thus I had to pay the range fee. So we would go as a group and I would never go alone. I also want to get so much time in with my .45 and .308 that the .22 is less interesting. Too shoot someplace other than a range I would have to travel several hours so it's less probable to go plinking.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Thanks for the honest tip. I know you're not a .338 kinda guy, but I think it might be fun to shoot. If I want I can always sell it later. Already having a .308 option, 7mm, 30-06, and loaner .22LR I have an itch for something in a rifle that will give me the dirty hairy feeling. After you mentioned about the springs in clips being safe I'm much much less interested in a mega revolver now too so my rifle budget bumped up a bit.
