That's where I was going. I thought some misguided politician with even less sense than myself got talked into pushing 4stroke tech. Even in green tech. Some of my family worked in solar panels and even though they were working on a better tech that was a bit more work but provided much better results was pushed to the side from some government push. It was really bad because when Trump came in a lot of the money went away. Without uncle sams teet, this new tech cant be cost effective at any scale without as you guys mentioned, the benefit of an existing large scale push. The new pannels only worked because subsidies helpd pay for mass production of live failures. It fucked the biz so bad, that they went directly from green tech to defense....

I understand specific applications etc. I just assumed 2 strokes could be scaled if everyone used those instead. And since the smallest and the largest engines I know about use the 2 stroke, I just wondered if it was "green" politics.

2 strokes just deal with more wear parts eh? Based on the scale argument is it saying that you can get away with cheaper parts on a 4 stroke and get similar power with less maintenance even though it's more complex less efficient and the fact it can stay sealed up for so much longer and doesn't consume oil is the real benefit right?

I just assumed that the 2 stroke was abandoned because of exhaust concerns before they suck engineers into the design. The evolution of engine design is waaaaaay past me.

Not to be contrarian, but ships use some of the largest engines in the world and they are 2 strokes, specifically because of they can burn anything and they are incredibly more efficient at that scale. Again, I'm not sure why. I thought it might be due to the power band, but then transmissions could make up for it?

More than dropping the 240 pounds, my resting heart rate drop is nice. While I don't feel much better, knowing that those co-morbidity factors are reduced is really nice.

You are more engineer than me. If we spent as much energy smoothing out those idiosyncrasies wouldn't it ultimately be a better burner and less emissions per mile? Maybe more per gallon but if you get more power per gallon of go juice.... I don't know. I know just enough physics to make engineers mad, and about engineering to make scientists mad.

15x3-5 half deads today. Back feels straight as an arrow. 4x6 bent over rows. Half deads killed me. Lower Back, legs, and psoas flow x 3 yoga after the rows then a mile walk because I didn't do enough cardio. Was on the phone while spinning and couldn't get my heart up while talking.

Thank you. It blows ass, I know I'm healthier even though I don't feel it. My last bloodwork showed an improvement on everything other than inflammation and testosterone. My resting heart rate is hovering at 50-54. It's pretty cool. I couldn't walk for 5 min before I shot that wedding in some 5 years ago. Almost 100% based on how I move my body and so long as I keep moving. It's hard to balance the intensity I need to keep the juices going with recovery. It's only tough this year because I decided I really need to work on the mechanical fundamentals of my body. If I didn't want to reduce the drag this spare tire has on me, or fix my posture, I would be in a lot less of a struggle. I would also be trading some pain now, for what I saw my grandma go through. She started chemo drugs in her prime of life for her rheumatoid, and it didn't do much. Thank God food Nd medicine are better now.
