I agree with most of this, but I have to ask, if you get a financial planner, aren't you taking somebody else's advice? Just playing devil's advocate here. I'm not saying don't get one, I sure as hell believe a majority of the people in this nation need one (or really, needed one several years ago). But with that said, I think you'd agree that there are several guidelines to investing in a general sense. But if somebody has a stock tip I'd be leery. A few months ago my brother told me that his wife had heard from her dad who was told by his broker that a stock was the next big thing and was ready to explode. And this guy had "never lost money on a stock he bought." First off I find that impossible to believe. Second of all, he probably bought the stock a month or two ago, so it was old news by then and the excitement was already priced in. Sure enough, I looked and the stock had quadrupled in the last 6 months and I was like no thanks. It hasn't turned out to be a typical pump and dump, though, as the price is just above where he bought it 6 months ago I think. But nothing to write home about and some really bad news just came out last week that makes me even more leery and glad I didn't get in. So I think the bottom line is just to not sip everybody else's koolaid. Make sure and do your own analysis, and remember that you'll get some wrong. Harvard grad economists can't agree on where the economy will go from here, and they can't both be right. Just be patient. true that. You must research things on your own, what I use my advisor for is a sounding board. he let's me know when I'm being an idiot. TCF for example. They were loosing all kinds of consuner backing becuause of fee's. It also wouldn't have hurt me to sell at that time. My guy reminded me to not be emotional and just sell at the signs of trouble. BOOM stocked jumped up as consumer confidense went down because they switched to a more B to B type plan. I do have a really good relationship with my guy though so YMMV.

2 things, at least it's green right? Science needs to make headway. And if anyone did care about the people dying from hunger they would open a farm in the starving country and start growing food and giving it away for free.... or teaching the the people from that place how to. pluss 100 mil is a drop in the bucket compaired to cost of fuel used by planes every day right? Me... I'm just jelly

Use a flexable adhesive and make sure you clean the heck out of the glass. One of the guys here can probably tell you but I would reach for denatured alchohol after cleaning it with something like invisible glass or windex. I'm not sure but maybe an epoxy would do the trick. It might not be as flexible but the bond might be better. -
Do you have a myo tape?

Well it's a rocket compaired to poor spending habits etc.
-
How do I get into that? Well obviously I don't, but how would someone who would fit in a normal smart car get in. Either way I need one. *edit: with turbos

Your situation makes it tough. Wife work?

And double yes to having a financial advisor. They will keep your head out of the clouds and out of your own a$$. Help you invest passionately, but without emotional baggage and make sure you have stability in the end. There is NO get rich quick scheme. It doesn't exist. Hard hard hard work and not spending cash all over the place is a huge key and will rocket you towards being wealthy though.

grabbed some measurements the other night. I'm going to take a moment and talk about something that kind of got me into this huge weight gain and has been a stumbling block for a few years now and it's related to my waist measurement. Waist. I was getting close to 70 I'll bet. That's the widest part of my middle withoutsucking in or standing up super ultra straight. I also have some stomach issue that is causing me to randomly bloat 6-7 inches larger around. Since my new diet, it's gone down substantially. I think it's more due to me getting in more fats and the animal pak. It has a digestive enzime combo(that's what smells like vomit/bile BTW along with the B vitamins). When I re-introduce carbs in a while I will include a new probiotic regement too. I'm not sure what caused this stomach problem but I know I made it worse as I went to the doctor for what I thought was a bladder infection and got some antibiotics and an STD test. Wasn't either. The antibiotics however killed everything in my stomach and gave me chills and fever. What ever was in me went wild after that! 8 specialists and a whole lot of huge bills they don't know what was wrong, but since then I've had random problems with bloating huge. I could get an extra 6-7 inches in less than 2 hours if the stars aligned properly. This has been the #1 problem with me loosing weight because sometimes the gas/bloat was painfull enough where I couldn't do much more than curl up. Though I'm depressed at my current size knowing I have probable lost 5 -6 inches in my middle in ~2 weeks is really really awesome. It's also probably will power and placebo but the intensity of the boating is so much less. And since I'm actually smaller the pants put less pressure on that area. Basically I'm amped about this even though it reminds me that this will be like climbing a never ending mountain.

The animal pak smells like vomit. You're stomach isn't weak, these pills are ruthless. They hurt when I take them, but they help me with my current digestion issues etc. And they have what a body needs. "electrolites!" Try these.. They come in 2 sizes so if big rough pills are hard on you they have a smaller smooth coated version. They are my normal vitamins. I only started with the animal pak because my diet is so wonky right now I wanted to make sure I was getting an extra boost. I like the source of life pills better. I'll PM you my addy, and pay your good deed forward.

On that dividend topic, I have some stock that were tanking. Big time, but since they paid a dividend I ended up big big big up. I was lucky enough to get into some apple before the ipad etc came out 2 years ago or so. That worked out well.

Fuck that. What happens when you die the day you retire? What happens if you travel too much and get to be 65 with no retirement fund? Hope the Democrats are still in office, duh. On a more serious note, I believe in investing in my future. I work for myself and have a savings account. Got any suggestions for investment? Cause buying a house is starting to seem like a joke. Buy the house. Seriously. Just do it. The tax write off alone is worth it. Lets even say that you LOOSE money on the house in the next 30 years. You buy for 100K and sell for 50 with a MTG of 1000(tax and ins rolled in) a month. Over 30 years that's 360k. If you rent a home for 900(including insurance) it's 324k. Even if the house losses 50% of it's value it's still a better deal than renting. None of this factors in the insurance breaks you get when you own your own home etc. Also the HUGE tax savings on the interest you pay. We pay an extra 5%-15% on our MTG right now for the OMG what if situation and we needed to get money out of it. Heck if you own your own home and have equity in it, then any loan you get from there forward has the potential of being a home loan and thus a tax write off again. Own your own home. For 98% of americans it's the right choice money wise. Even if someone doesn't live in a home they own, owning a home is still just another leg on the stool of financial stability.
