Weight of pack and what supplies do you need? I really like camelback products for water, but you have to ration when it's that far between. Water weight finds it's level of diminishing returns extremely fast for a guy on the trail. It should be cooler then also so you may have some margin that you normally wouldn't.

Weird. Sams used to have the best meat. I really miss sams now that I switched to costco for some things. Costco is SO inconsistant on some items and the meat selection(read beef) is less that what I think is good. Interesting. I have had exactly the opposite experience with Costco being a damn good place for meat. OK, if I get the costco marked "prime" it's great. But the regular stuff is garbage IMO. Sams had a lot of prime cuts in stock every time I was in. All in the sealed bags. I can't even get a brisket with fat on it at costco. Just the super lean "flat". No rid roasts(bone or no bone). Smaller pork ribs. Costco is so dang hit or miss. I also like to have frozen scallops on hand. I know fresh is better but since I'm the only one in the house who likes them if I want them on a whim when just cooking for me it's great. The costco ones seam to be 20% or more smaller in size. Maybe it's the oil spill. :shrugs: I can't find the same cheese either. They rotate the sliced cheese so flipping often, and NEVER have munster. I <3 munster. It's the grilled cheese champ.

It just so happened that I replaced the windshield in winterish time so no rain, and the summer before I parked inside. Only time it saw rain really was en route and never for more than 12 hours outside probably.

Sooooo... somehow water has been getting into dash and from my POV I was sure the GEM and fuse box were fuxored. Leaks usually due to windsheild, and it coinsided with me replacing it, and some of the weather stripping from that replacement comming off due to shoddy work. I thought ALT was bad then starter etc. All this elec crap indirectly related but not due to faulty GEM. 2 shops, no answer and Ford said they wouldn't touch it for less that 800 bucks and that's without finding why/where leak is. I was afraid that I was the one who screwed something up somehow and didn't want to mess with the dash and make it worse so I could only diagnose slightly and didn't want to eff up my SCT tuner or PCM by plugging that in and then the whole shebang going poof. THE FOOKING ROOF RACK LEAKED INTO THE LINER AND IT TRICKLED ALL THE WAY FROM THERE TO THE DASH! they couldn't get water to get in from the windshield so on a whim the shop boss sprayed the top and they got a waterfall. Same GEM and fuse box from another 97 EB expy they the guy drove 2 TWICE(30 min each time) because they gave him the wrong part and a failed attempt at a new gauge cluster thinking that might be the problem("try to fix the cheepest cause first" he said). <$750.

fried chicken. SO yummy...... It's even worse when you can't have it I have been got the whole chickens from costco for <10 bucks for two 4.5 pounders. Spatchcocked them and browned and roasted with fresh rosemary, thyme, taragon, and then a chalot and some garlic cloves. It made 6 meals itself for adults. The best part was frying the bones afterwords with more rosemary and taragon and pepercorns. I made ~gallon and a bit more of the BEST chicken broth I have ever had. I made it a bit reduced and a bit salty so I could cut it with water. Dear lord it is good.

Best protein sources are fish, eggs, lean meat, and poultry. This would be a great whole food list and probably in order. Fish get top spot because of healthy fats. Each of these have their pros and cons actually but they would be the go to sources. Beans and legumes are cool. Milk products are good, but you usually have to deal with a lot of carbs or a lot of fat per gram of protein. Protein shakes are really just for specialised consumption really. They can help with performance a lot but it's by no means even close to needed.

Peng, I'll be 100% honest. For a practical approach find a BB guide. Something hardcoreish. It will be your best practicle guide. BBers are by nature minmax people. If it's a solid book it will tell you to stick to the extreme basics and to do it cheep. You may not want to follow the 2 grams of protein per pound of desired weight, but they will give you a much more practicle approach to how nutrition works in vivo. It's results oriented and is a no BS kind of approach usually. If they push any suplements hard other than protein and vitamins and maybe creatine/ephedra they are probably selling you snake oil. Most medical nutrition books will give you much more science with case studies but 99,9999% of the time those case studies don't apply. Case in point osteoperosis and protein consumption. Study shows a group of people who ate more protein lost calcium/bone density. This stud was on mostly women, they were all elderly, and almost everyone was currently going through some form of bone loss issues and were sedantary to the extreme. recently the army did a study with paratroops. Low and behold they GAINED bone density on an increased protein diet. Of course their impact and resistance training makes them more apt to have healthy more dense bones. The high protein group was still higher than the average. The most important thing is don't take anything too seriously. If it's something that works really well, it's common sense and should be done anyway, or else it's a strong drug and will probably have side effects. Verry few things are inbetween.

Tough call! When I ordered a dell tower we called as number 1 of 2 boxes (the one with the moniter) didn't arrive. They were cool and over nighted a second one as the shipping guy said "oops, still sitting here". Well we got 2 boxes then a couple days later, completely different in shape and location they came from. We now had two moniters. We sat and thought on it... I eventually called for some dumb reason. They basically said they wanted it back but only if I would pay to ship it to them. So an extra 25 bucks or so maybe a touch more. I told them no go, send me a box or shipping slip and I'll get it done. The rep basically said she understood and would just write it off and not to worry about it as the invintory would be off and it would probably cost more to ship/restock it than it would to resell it.

    1000# club

I have some ergonomic challenges with dead lifting. The average 45# plate is too short for me to grab it properly and I could only pull up about 315 pounds. At my tops though my bench was 310 for 8 reps and squat was ~550 for 8. That was before I hurt my knees though. I never 1 rep max anymore and after gaining weight I mostly use the sled aka leg press. On that it's so easy I can push well over the max at my gym which is 1200.

any supplement info in there or just diet, recipe and nutrition info? Basically what you need to hear. Multivitamins are good insurance, the rest you basically don't need unless you are proven to be deficient, creatine can be beneficial and taking protein powders isn't absolutely necessary. This is why the big guys pound it over and over again... No it's not nesicarry, but deficient for a desk jockey who doesn't do anything is much different that an active guy. I'm not saying flood your body with so much your wreck your kidneys by having 200 grams of protein 6 times a day but it's really hard to get enough protein for most guys without suplementing in whey or some other shake etc.

    Welcome to the IHoP

1 gram of protein per pound of body weight is enough for most guys doing moderate resistance work outs. The reason that most BB guys grind the protein idea in is because 95% of people do not get enough protein in general from healthy sources. Probably 75% of guys in a gym or playing a sport don't get enough. Case in point. My roomate started to dial in his work outs and the simple act of adding 6 eggs for breakfast and eating protein ever 3 hours helped him gain 15 solid pounds at 40% to his bench and nearly double his curl basically. No suplements. Just eggs and protein shakes. Without it he would gas and loose power halfway through a set. We forget that we are omnivores first and that it's only been a verry short time we have had grains in our diets. Fat and protein is the ideal source of nutrition for humans. Vegis are like turbo charging that process. They provide vitamins and fiber, but they aren't available year round. Humans sustained off meat and fatty vegitation and that's probably the reasons our breans grew is the high intake of healthy fats. The human machine can live without carbohydrates, but it cannot survive without certain fatty acids or amino acids. There is no "essential" carbohydrate.

Don't go past 3 Gig of ram unless you're running 64 bit. It would be a waste. OCing is not my cup of tea on lap tops honestly unless you really don't care if you burn it out. I know people do it all the time but in the real world I don't think you would see a difference unless you play games and then only a couple frames per second honestly.
