Peng. Just to reinfoce it, CONSUME PROTEIN EVERY 3 HOURS OR LESS NOW!!! Seriously. Even if it's only 20 grams or so. Now that you have shake mix just make it happen. Set an alarm. Working out is sublimely important also, however once you have some kind of work out schedule getting in that frequent protein will really change your body from being a fat storage device to an effecient processing plant where it uses fat for energy instead of muscle or slowing down the metabolism.

You 'bout summed it up perfectly there. Women think they can change a guy. On a deeper level though I think that the vast majority of women who act as such do so because they don't want a serious relationship. Women talk big game about emotions and being in touch with them, but if you ever talk about real feelings on a base level with that kind of woman they clam up. I firmly beleive they date the abusive, horrible, cheating, etc etc bad boys over and over again for one reason. Then it's always the guys fault when it doesn't work. It simplifies the relationship and stress on the females part. She can just absorb abuse and then if it gets to be too much, she can walk away. I have seen this process so many times. Over and over and over again. It's some kind of backwards protection/defense mechanism. It sounds cold or heartless as most of these women are sweet and innocent and intellegent.... which then only leads me to beleive that they know what they got into and ultimately they stick with it for some reason.

    Health check

got into the gym 4 times last week. I brought the wife in for 2 of those. It was pretty underwhelming for my back day. I mostly played with pull downs and heavy rows untill I couldn't pull anymore for 4 sets each. Leg day was nice, but also tough to swallow I only put 810 on the leg press for 8, 8, then 6 reps. Slammed it out with another fast 15 reps with 360 to really blast the muscles.. The soreness is aweful. The W and I were limping 2 days later basically, but we both went in and stretched and did a mega light leg work out to get the legs moving ant it helped. What's most important is I feel SO much better. It's unbelivable how great those endorphins are. Part of it is also getting the W to come with and get her moving. Watching her become more healthy and make better food choices on her own is pretty cool. I'm pretty amped even thought my output was so low.

    Health check

Keeping myself honest by setting this up here. I need to drop a lot of weight. I am flirting with 400 lbs currently and only 6’2. For the first time in my adult life my weight is putting a strain on my day to day life. Up untill recently my lungs heart and muscles have been able to make my weight seem trivial. I even had a recent stress test where they had me pedal and took movies of my heart and measurements after 2 shots of adrenalin and I got 2 thumbs up from the cardiologist. I didn’t feel so great though, but the docs chalked it up to indigestion. The other day though I was going up a few floors of stairs and I was honestly winded. I’ve never really had that problem previously. It was the turning point that set me from “Oh I can fix this and get healthy later(denial)” to “I need to get this in serious check ASAP”. I think it’s important to make this a public matter to at least keep me honest/motivated. My lifestyle when I was a health guy along with that specific support structure is not in the cards anymore and it’s become more and more complex trying to balance healthy living and getting things done in life. I’ll try to update this thread frequently, if not daily if for no other reason than to be accountable. -What I plan to update on is measurements on a weekly if not more frequent basis. I have a myo-tape somewhere but I cannot find it currently and would rather get this started than wait for that to show up. -As for weight I may take a no scale method. If I can get my hands on a body fat percentage reader I will try that. My last assessment a couple months ago revealed 37%, given through the electric signal type reader. I think that might be a couple % low actually as that would mean 252 is 0% body fat and I’m not a taller Ronnie Coleman. -I’ll also log diet. Also, I hope to log my exercise regularly and my goal here is to get into the actual gym 3 times a week and pedal/cardio at home or actually take the dog for walks.  -I am not set on final goals. I need to spend a weekend getting a menu and program set up with steps to reach these goals first, but I needed to start the diet and general exercise now because I mentally needed to start this.

As for ride my buddies f-350 7.3 turbo Long bed is one of the most comfortable vehicles I've ever been in. On the our trip to chicago it got aroung 21 mpg driving 55-70 on the highway mixed. It's really really tough sorting out the BS and all the options on trucks, they can be so unique even in the same family and ride so completely different than the next...

I'm going to adjust my settings to black out the word raptor. It cracks me up how we call them 3/4 or 1/2 ton but have SO much more payload.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I saw this little fella at a local dealership that's been sitting for a good while now.... If it's all in working order it's a heck of a set up to just walk into. Real SCrew would be better but meh.. Just depends on if the engine has been upkept and if it's fully updated with the 6.0L revisions.

1200 would be the MINIMUM payload I would say. I end up hauling too much shtuff in the bed, my poor Expedition was loaded with 1500+ several times in the back with the seats down when I moved, and she definately feels it if I load the back up with tons of 4x8's 2x4's or rock etc. It was wrong, but it took it like a champ. I think if I go half ton I need* to find a trailor too.... * That would more likely be "should" not need. I don't haul lots of weight far currently, nor do I do that often, but I find myself more and more limited by my expy, and the wife wants her car to go away.

I should also note I would like something that can handle a heavier load more than towing. Idealy it would also handle dirt, gravel, snow off road type situations. I don't need to go fast off road, just able to chug through and over nasty crap, fel logs etc and lousey MN snow.

    Welcome to the IHoP

Please fill in the blanks with detail if you can. I'm going to be doing some shopping soon. I need it to have 4 seats, be verry comfortable inside leather, comfort etc. I don't plan on hauling goosenecks but the more stones the better. I will not buy new. I don't mind diesel. Chevy will be a hard sell, and I know nothing about GMC so be specific as I understand the seira/siverado to be the same trucks. Dodge... I know even less about them. If you were looking at buying a large pickup (f150 or larger) you would buy _____ , becase ____ .

I don't care if there are bodies in the trunk. That's wicked nice. Tried to track down an aftermarket warranty or any warranty for it for that matter and nothing is available which crosses it off my list. My buddy had a CL65 for 6 months before it got lemoned and the warranty repairs on that had over 26 pages of work. MB took care of him in the end but tried to fuck him in the process. Considering the numbers of Alpina's produced, I don't want the "one" of the bunch that mimics his CL. I feel you on that....

once you see blue ray and hear a well done 5.1 with mid fi speakers like my energy speaks or even better some digms or the likes, the movie theater will seam like torture. that and you can sit/lounge on whatever seating you want. I have some great HT couches I got for a song too. One has heat and vibration and the other is a birkliner with less bells and whistles but it's so comfy it's amazing.
