I haven't purchased a game in a long time but I'm picking up Halo tonight.

Ryan 2… SO I got to putz around with the .308 version of the savage big boy .338 lapua. It is so unballanced it's insane. I don't even want to think about the 110 BA anymore. I also did get to play with a sako TRG in .338 Lap. Even though it’s not THAT much lighter it’s 2 times the rifle. I’m not paying 3k for a rifle though. I’m thinking about one of the savage in .330 Win mag. Would you go that route or something else from sako or Remington? I do want something with a brake on it for longer shooting sessions and a 26 inch barrel but neither seam to exist really. It’s all 24 inchers. The M24 sniper from Remington is only 24 inches too I guess so I’m not sure it would really matter. What would you do if you wanted something in .300 win mag R2?

I can't imagine only 1080p on a 25 foot monitor. That must look like shit if you are anywhere near it ;P Go big or go home. Reminds me of the moon rover. Do the math in feet, program rocket in meters.

I'm on a 28" 1920 x 1200 and it's b-w is fast as lighning.

Better being reserved for computer moniters and the rare few things that can take advantage of that.

My wife LOVES going to the movies. I will concede to go occasionally. When we do it MUST be IMAX. I cannot stand standard def in theaters anymore. Thus I am subject to a LOT of 3d. So what I am saying is I completely agree. I think in 90% of the cases I like regular 1080 or better.

Untill the make 3d that doesn't need some goggles it won't be accepted by the consumer. That being said, it may be pushed on us anyway.

Avatar is the only movie that made 3d look good. Probably because it's a demo for a new way of filming 3d. It's like crysis or any other game company that makes a new gaminging engine or tools. It's awesome because it's done right. AAvatar didn't throw things in your face. That's poorly done. That makes the viewer move away from the screen and breaks the bond that you have with the story. In avatar they created depth and pulled the viewer forward. It was just done SO well. In general I think 3d is a huge hoax in almost every way it's used. The glasses are the first and biggest problem. The polarised lens version is the best, and even then it's only ok in situations when you are in a dark theater setting. If you look away from the screen or tilt your head everything in the room and/or the screen becomes blurred.

I love love love the excursions and think a 4wd slightly lifted one would be sweet but the wheels kill that one for me Heck yes. I would take it though sell the wheels probably drop it to a reasonable height and take the money I saved put on some brush guard winch lights and then deaden the biatch. Make her as silent as a cady.

they make the sedan as well with the same engine Now they just need to add some soul to it. I drove one and while I could stand driving it every day, it isn't near the top of my choices in performance sedans. Price to value isn't quite right. I do however expect it to be a great 3 year old car to buy. GM crap reliability, but when it hits $25k with 60k mi it will make sense to own as the little things won't hurt so much. ain't that the truth. It will be one hot contender in the used car market. I like that the raptor is selling so well for the same reason.

My brother in laws little case for his 1BT westerndigital was ~20 bucks, but he can bring it with him and play back movies or music view the outputs directly on the HDD case. It's not built for war, but it ran the HDD without a hitch for storage or play back and at 20 bucks a pop you can buy 2 and have a back up and then not have to pay a jacked up price for the WD external. He somtimes just pops the HDD in his tower if he needs fast fast access to move many gigs at a time. I wish I had a link to where he got the case.. normally I'm not a fan of the cheep china gear but this wasn't garbage and impressed me at how versitile it is.

I thought heft was a good thing when it came to armored vehicles? Depending on application, absolutely. Depends on what you are armoring yourself against. Stopping 9mm-.223 fire and moving light gear quickly would need a much different armor than stopping impact from busses running you off the road and being ready to take claymores and .50BMG armor penitrating sabots.

Can I help answer buy asking a dumb question? Why do you want external and what will you store? External since it will be connected to a laptop and it will store mostly media. Honestly I recomend a media external HDD enclosure. China makes bajillions of them. Then you can put what ever quality HD in the box you want. A good Western Digital or seagate unit. It makes double sense since it will store mostly media.
