At the risk of sounding like a tea party a hole, I think hypocrisy is exactly what we need in the way I read you using it. If you meant bigots talking about freedom for men, then you got me, you’re right, they were the other bad form of hypocrisy. If anything at all our governmental system was designed to slow down the flow of government expansion. The old adage of freedom being the distance between my fist and your chin is where this can be seen blatantly. The tea party in general has gone overboard though and made a fool of themselves. Jefferson was an amazing thinker along with many “founding fathers”. The thing is, no matter how perfect the ideal is, it’s been corrupted. I don’t think George Washington or Lincoln would be even close to relevant in todays world. The tea party(or rather the public face of) has basically made a religion out of the people and wipped their ass with what was intended when our country was formed. Special interest groups and other forms of corruption though have tainted the idea of freedom and infrastructure for all Americans. Now some Americans get more infrastructure than others. Some have more freedoms than others. On an individual level it makes sense to forge your own path and make your own agreements and contracts. In a group though the intent is lost. It’s like ordering a pizza. You will never make everyone happy. Someone won’t like some aspect of what they are given. Then everyone else not invited to the party will look to that group with disdain, pity, or worst of all as an opportunity to control a group.

The new woman plans on being a counceler/working with special needs kids in her job and I am no longer allowed to say retarded. Needless to say i will definitely be showing her this. I read that last word as 'tits'. As did I; I was ready to demand photos. x3 Read "tits"

I have some Northern Tool & Equipment generic shit I bought new that are in the same range. If I can count the ones I received for Christmas then WAY older I bought my first impact gun when I was 15 and still have it. Maybe I will snap a picture of it and post it on my day off. I still use it too. I'm glad you had fun! I would like to see that some day.

No doubt. He's a good guy. I'm also sure he will make my life better as it will be a huge improvement from what we had before. I'm just pitching myself a pity party. I've been doing that alot lately, and am getting quite skilled at complaining. I feel happy that I recognise that I'm a whiner rather than being poor me all the time.

Uh oh Headache. Got passed up for a raise/promotion, and it's a tough situation because though I think I was the right choice for the job the person who got is qualified, but has less seniority. He's a great work friend though so it's bitter sweet. A couple really anoying medical issues popped up in addition to my normal WTFery stomach thing. On the flip side I'm getting quite a bit done around the house. I spent 3 weeks doing NOTHING, and I'm building momentem for getting things done. It feels a bit like being punishment for doing the right thing. I am however extatic to check things off my list. I'm going to spend the day nice and crabby, then rake leaves tonight and work off some tension.

I haven't looked recently, but had a Whirlpool Duet at my last house and it was great. What are you using the video camera for? Thought about a DSLR + Video option? I have an EOS from cannon in digital. I'm not sure if it does video, but unless it can do at least 30 min at a time I wouldn't be happy. I'm going to be filming a wedding for a friend, and I have wanted a video camera for a LONG time. I would really desire 1080 or better for video. Having high speed functionality would be really great too but I don't want to spend too much. I htought about getting another digital SLR and going that route it's just hard to justify it. The Droid X does HD video and takes video up to 30 minutes at a time... DR01D D03S!!! Damnit. I knew I would have gotten that promotion and not gotten sick if I would have switched from winmob
