    Welcome to the IHoP

Now to completely switch gears...... I ocasionally like to PWN noobs. Or get PWNed. I don't have speakers on my PC and I now don't have the intention of putting any to it as I am networking it to my HT and eventually whole home. Anyway, I want a headset. Comfort is #1, durrable and built well is #2. Sound quality must be great, but I'm not looking for music or movie depth, just extremely clear sound. Plantronics 377 is the only one I have used personally. My roomate has it. It's ok for comfort, sounds ok, and since it's dirt cheep I might just get that one. It's a "bit" fragile though. It has been glued back together a couple times, and it's not put to abuse. He has put a few bajillion hours on them, but never beats them up. It's just made of brittle plastic. I have seen 3 that I like on paper. Sennheisser 350, but it has a plastic/fake leather looking seal on the ear muff part and that blows. The Astro A40 looks to be top quality. Or lastly something from turtle beach, they also seam to get high comfort ratings. Put in your .02 plz.

I have tried to search for turkey farms or specialty farms for heritage birds online, but I can't confirm what kind of birds they have. The Crocus hill website mentioned Nature's little Farm as their source. http://www.cooksofcrocushill.com/cropshare/heritage-turkey

Sorry it's Nature's Little Farms. Kellog MN I guess. I had to search a bit online. I'm going to call a few co ops today durring my lunch and I will let you know if I find out anything. The new one here by Riverside is massive and awesome and they might have some. Did you try whole foods yet?

What bird can I eat raw liver from??? Well okay, slowly poached at a low temperature. Not quite raw. Was more referring to the yumminess of not needing to add anything or "cook" them in anyway, but technically inappropriate I suppose. Perhaps you could, but I can't verify. I didn't mean to call you out. I was more asking like a student really interested in something the master was saying. I am still a lowly padewan learner. I hate liver in general, so I would love to find a way to like it.

and guess what? I'm under 25 hahaha. in all honesty.. the front end is what i really like TBH rest of the car is BLAH.. I do agree though And the worst part of the CTS to me is the front end. I hate chrome chicken wire on cars lol. Style is personal though. I think it's because it's so flashy it screams "look at me muther ^&&*()(er!!!". I do like that but only on truely over the top vehicles, like lambo's etc.

You checked cooks on crocus hillI'm guessing? I think they are 9 a pound. I have never tasted one. I have only heard of them this year in fact. I guess little farms is the biggest place locally to get them.

CTS-V vs BMW M5 If I was smaller I would want the caddy. I think it looks really "guido" or however you spell that. The dealer I went to had one fully loaded for ~$67k. That's a lot less than the BMW. I don't know which would be cheeper to repair. Used market... well... I think the BMW drops so violently so fast, that it's probably the better buy there. If I blow an engine on either I would cry but the Bimmer would cost more to replace I would guess. The GM crap just has a vette engine with a blower.... so I'm guessing it wouldn't be too much to fix. What you can tell instantly thought is the BMW is made better. I have no idea how they drive though. Either will blow my hair back however. Final word though is this, would I rather be seen in and walk to and see a GM or BMW? BMW by a large margin.

I am liking that it's not letting me be lazy. However I may have to redo all the electrical on the rental. thank god it's family who lives there and I can do it slow.... then again I would have a good deal extra rent... then again I would have to pay taxes rather than just charge him utes plus a bit more for repairs... then again.....

I wouldn't mind an m600 in the stable. I think those are ~300k. I have no idea about price/availability of the older units though.

you could use a verry subtle tint to the lens? It would cost some lumens, but might be worth it. You never know untill it's in practice and in use.

A plank of Cu makes the best radiator you could need. I'm sold on LED in general, but HID is easier to get in warmer color. Color temperature will be a problem. especially with the mega bright LED's. Most are blue or super white. Have you ever shined a super white bright high lux light into snow? It's like a billion lasers sparkling at you.

    Welcome to the IHoP

when you take into account the overal lux you can get from even 3-4 properly set up LED's it's pretty amazing. HID or carbon arc sources can obliterate an LED in absolute brightness though if you have tons of powa to throw at them.

LED's also won't go down from vibration. Even HID has vibration/impact limits. solid state lighting is are sturdy as the case you put it in.

some flashlights are getting 1000 lumens from one SST-50 LED. And thats in a small overheat prone package with a limited power supply. If they put that driver tech into a vehicle aplication. Think what you could do with proper 6-9 inch deep reflectors.

Baja designs makes a 10 LED light bar and it is sold with lots of lumens for only 42 wats. Here are the specs from their web site. Specifications Dimming: Accessible Medium (Dust) and Strobe Modes Total Lumens: 3500 Housing: Extruded Aluminum, Anodized, Laser Etched Front Lens: Hardcoated Polycarbonate Power Consumption: 42 watts Input Voltage: 9-30 volts Emitter: CREE XP-G LED, 5500 Kelvin 11.0” Long, 1.5” High, 3.0” Inches Deep 50,000 hour LED life expectancy I would guess that you could make better. In fact if you use bigger/better reflectors you could get MUCH more throw/lumen. I'm almost 100% sure they are using cheep chinease low quality reflectors. If you threw in some larger parabola reflectors on them and squeezed more effective light from each LED you could do SO much more. If you stepped up to SSt LED's... mMMMmmmmm

Much less than a bright halogen I would guess. It would also last longer and be more cold tolerent. Bright LED's would like the cold, you could probably get away with quite a bit less heat sinking.

Supposed to run circles around the ZR-1 for less $$$. And looks like a fwd turd. Sure I am all for fast, but a car should stir the soul in that price range as well. If the only goal is to run circles around the ZR-1, but a 3 yr old Elise for $25k and spend $5k on some forced induction and you'll kill them both. I can't fit in an elise. It may as well not have a windsheild as I would still have to put on gogles.
