What a nice night. Cigar, rye, good breeze and no noise.

Sean can expand on the science but getting that many speakers to blend would be a fucking nightmare. I think that's why electrostat 'peakas work so well. It's one panel that makes so much of the range that our ears are most sensitive to. No blending needed.
-
Electrostatic speakers are just something else. My dream is to have a room with a pair of Maggie 20s and a couple McIntosh mono amps. That would cost more than both cars the bike and maybe my guns if I paid MSRP.
-
To answer this and your next post it will not provide you with anything at all unless you have a massive room. Like nonsense big. Even then its more gimic than anything. The best HT set up I ever heard didn't even have a center speaker. Just 4.4 basically. Each speaker had a sub and there was no center. It was a bajillion dollar set up, and the room was treated for it but it was amazing. It just works on the same principle as sound stage. A baby version I listened to was a 5.5 and it was great too. There is some merit to the new tech that is used in 5.1 with extra ambient speakers. In any rational set up 5.1 is way more than anyone needs and 7..1 is wasting money on extra speakers. If I calibrated my MLs properly and used some mild room treatments it would by far outperform any 5.1 I have listened to in a big box store with common found speakers. Often I will look behind me because the imaging is so good in the sweetpot I think something is making noise behind me.

So that's why lots of european countries don't have doctors right? I touched on this, but to further expand its not only a lack of people going into the field its a lack of training and quality people going into the field. If you will only make 100k as a hospital doc but have half a million in debt the pay of isn't there. Even if you love medicine it becomes a philanthropic venture and not a profession. Then to accommodate schools will slack and gubment will reduce minimum required learning to keep your practice up.... It's a bit like saying no American should have to suffer with a 30" TV. 40" minimum for every American! Even if you allow private companies to make bigger, better TVs the market for them will crash due to regulations and the fact they can't recoup the loss on halo models on the cheap models. If its not infrastructure leave it alone. If you want to view health as infrastructure then you need a whole revamping and elimination of the regulatory guidelines in the private sector. In every instance the gubment comes in and helps a project surfing failure or the only outcome is a backlash in the opposition. It's the law of conservation of money. it doesn't vanish when you spend it or it goes to taxes... It just goes to whomever is taking it. To me, I would rather give that money directly to a provider, or a contracted liazon than a federal or state joke who doesn't have my interest because they want me as a customer. some a hole who has no care about me will never work in my best interest. Unless of course its charity and they just truely love the work....

Cute pup oh Jay.

Yup. I know Europe has us beat for prevention and the US needs to catch up, but we still are decades. Yes decades. I mean God Damn decades ahead in medical procedures. Japan comes close but they don't have the grunt behind the brains to put it all into production. An NA in the USA is as well trained as the UK RN. RNs in most of the US are more educated than MDs in the UK. And we just have WAY more tech in action and in hospitals here.

Thanks. He is a bit bigger but still a runt. Only 165-170 ish. Best behaved dog I've ever met. Eats TP though. That isn't so charming.

Matt, how has Jack been? He's still droolin! We really want a bitch for him, but another dog is a lot and not to mention an extra few grand that I want to spend on toys. I should take post some more recent pics!

Ah yeah. It all has an impact. I'm just pro choice rather than forcing me into options.

If I dropped my health care plan, just went to the hospital, and got all the treatment I needed without paying for it, and they wrote it off, doesn't that raise the overall cost for everyone that is paying for health insurance. I would agree to your remark of getting an extra 1100 a month and choosing how you spent it (whether it be on your own healthcare plan, or not), but what proof do you have that you would get 1100, and not much less (due to the fact that large businesses likely pay less for their plans then sole individuals)? Can you clarify the point there? You have and do pay tor insurance. Just privately. Yes if you went in and no one paid it would stress the hospital financialy and over years the group would pay for the individual..... But that is exactly what a government payor does. It's also what private insurance does. The difference between private insurance and a government payor or an uninsured walk in is that the private is an agreement for a contract/price. You are buying a service for what if. In the government model it becomes law, not just contract breech. They then impose nonsense rules on the providers. This is because in the public sector the ones who will choose the rules do not themselves need to deal with it. Senate and house don't use Medicaid. That's laughable. But they do make backdoor deals for certain pet projects. When that is down in the public sector they pass laws that change the private market. The reverse however is never true. Backdoor deals in private sector result in a great business move of all the clients leave that company and go somewhere else. It's like car insurance. If you had state mandate car insurance there would be no arbitration. They would make a law to adjust the rules to make you loose. I see that daily.

And if someone denies you due to preexisting problems they are liars. Federal rules have made preexisting conditions illegal.

Universal health care is a fucking waste of time. So is the opposite of granting benefits to people/employers for benefit programs. It allows the market to be controlled and monopoly programs to be made. It's not part of infrastructure so stay the fuck out. A government option for roads, for military, for emergency aid etc....... Perhaps. Fuck even broadband communications should fall under the preview of infrastructure. We are behind Korea for fucks sake. But leave my cock and balls and flu shots and everything else that is my choice up to me. If I don't want to drive I don't have to. If I don't want to surf the net fine. But don't flex the costs to persuade the public on what they should and should not do for health concerns.

Whoa there social reform friends. There is no such thing as prexisting conditions now. And it raised the cost of insurance by a market total of 13% or so. Secondly no one is denied medical care, preventitive or otherwise from public hospitals. I work for one as does my wife and I can tell you right now most write off more than they get paid in most instances if you don't have insurance. 3rd 900 bucks for 2 people is cheep as Hell. It's well into the 1000's here for good coverage. Fact is that the EMPLOYER pays for most of it. That teachers insurance is probably a 1500 dollar plan. But the job pays 1100 for it. I would rather have the extra 1100 a month and buy whatever the fuck I want than be on some employer negotiated plan. Getting tax cuts for healthcare is the dumbest Damn thing we do in the US. But people don't understand that the cost of benefits is more that they pay on their check.... So the cycle continues. Imagine if you made an extra 20% but got no benefits. You would only have the kids you can afford and at least take a fucking interest in your benefits and get what you need. But John Q Public is a self centered ass who says "why shouldn't I have all the cool stuff those other people who planned have!" Damnit that mentality Pissed me off. The worst 11 fucking words anyone can ever hear are "we're here from the government and we're here to help"
-
I think Jon is saying he doesn't want to take the handout as he feels he can take care of himself rather than rely on a social program. If more people did that we would have a lot less problems in the world. I don't think I could survive without assistance if I lost my job.... But if I'm makng money I would find it really hard to take a gubment programs help.

Sugar after a workout is really important for me. I don't know how it would affect your feet though.
