Rental car for the trip this weekend is a mazda 6. It isn't a pile of shit. Zippy for what it is. I find it has a ton of road noise. I wish I could have got one of the new Taurus.

So, I found these chips called pop chips. They don't have a ton of chemicals, are nonsense crunchy, and are really low in kcal and sodium for a snack chip. I am really impressed. I really like ultra crunchy snacks and this one is a winner. I am shocked.

Plank exercises work your core muscles quite well I don't doubt it. It would just take several minutes of holding in place. Most core muscles dont work much while in motion, hence sit ups being a waste for core strength mostly. In martial arts we would have what was translated to "mental forms", a kind of static kata. They were define effective at causing muscle soreness. Stanind in a T position for 10 min each side with a board on your back was debilitating! Planks get much harder the farther you push your elbows forward and the closer your stomach is to the ground What i usually do is hold a fairly difficult position for ~30 secs then start sliding my elbows forward until im as close to the ground as possible without touching it and hold that till i collapse lol. The last few seconds im all shaking to strain and my core feels like its going to split in half lol If it works, the great. I just dont buy it.

For your core, if you hold it for a while, you can feel it. Personally, I need to be doing more exercises like this, part of the reason why I have tried to squeeze some yoga in from time to time. No doubt. Bridges are by far the best for core. Any of the Indian work out programs will change your life. Indian wrestling or yoga are both core destroyers. So is snowboarding BTW.

Aerobic exercise benefits from carbohydrates. I see no reason to ever use an overly processed anything. Doesn't mean eating some things are bad, but in excess is terrible. And yes cheese is processed. For the sake of current discussion cheese is not something I would consider processed. Miso or tofu would then also be considered processed would it now and thus be bad for you. You had recommend that as a great protein source. I am not trying to trap you over this, just trying to understand your thinking. As for the aerobic comment, if you are tearing muscle fibers through muscle strain, then you will benefit from a higher intake of protein than a sedene individual. You know I was not suggesting to eat all protein, or even some 80% kind of ballance. Just that in relation those who work muscles benefit from replenishing them. Finally my discussion is 100% based on a sport or performance standpoint. I enjoy lifting weights. For me it is also one of the only work outs that I can do regularly that I enjoy. My bone structure allows me to put on more muscle than most guys in a "natural" way. I dont think anyone disagrees with being healthy should be goal number one, but if people are breaking down muscle through exercise then building it back up with more protein is important. And with that protein usually an overall intake of more kcal from all food sources.

What is the point of that? Unless you hold it for some absurd amount of time, it is kind of a sillly exercise.

I am always open to new ideas and methods. Technically, I am not trying to bulk, I'm actually dropping weight (not necessarily planned). As for me, it is the sheer amount of protein volume needed to just maintain. To gain and bulk, it would have to go up even more. Beleive me I know how "expencive" in protein it is to just maintain. At your low BFP it is worse.

I agree with the premise Sean but for athletic reasons sometimes more protein is needed. For mass or not. Even aerobic exercise benefits from more protein. I see no reason to not use whey however. Especially since it is part of the cheese making process and a natural food source. YMMV.

Didn't I tell you to buy Wakame? SUPER good for you and yummy. When you say stronger, you mean the soup, tofu or what? Noodles are also good, green onions, a bit of sake, shitake mushrooms, deep fried or grilled tofu, shrimp, fish cakes.... I dont remember the wakame, but I will get some. And mushrooms. I like a lot more miso than what seams to be "normal". I tried using more kombu and more bonito last night while making some and it made the broth better. Maybe I am just so used to in your face flavors that the subtle flavors get missed on me. I have tried udon noodles in the miso and buckwheet noodles. I am such a fan of really toothy udon noodles that I may stick with those. I think the buckwheet noodles got a hair over cooked. I was shocked how fast they softened.

It was just under a mile away. 600MM zoom with a 2x magnification on the end from what I read. 10-30K in camera shit depending on details. Not worth it.

    Welcome to the IHoP

So I love miso now. I use about ome box of tofu per quart though. And I use firm. But aside from that what else can I add to make it even better? BTW my miso soup is better than when I have had it out. But I like the extra seaweed they use. I had mussles in one bowl. It was ok but the mussles were waaaaay lost in the soup, so more tofu would be just as good and maybe a better texture for the soup. I just use way more miso and my dashi is ballerhollic. I would like it a little "stronger" in flavor but I am not sure how I should do that.
