Nice I watched Croatia lose and it was heartbreaking.

Pics you dirty ass pirate! Don't tease!

Exactly. It happens, it is just less than 1% of 1% of 1%. Slightly more likely that lightning killing ya.

Right. As I said, it is not safe but it is best to be accurate about the danger and not say it can cause things it can't. Wikipedia sites it's or did when I looked it up just a while ago, and even they didnt have a citation with a credible source. Even if the air did break skin, it would have to hit an vein and that vein would have to somehow suck up the gas bubble. That's something veins cannot do, especially when there is an opening behind the air bubble. The circulatory system doesn't have a pull function, just push. It is like gun safety. Guns can hurt people, of course, but saying they can just go off or blaming a type of gun etc etc. You get my point. I always promote safety, but never suggest that margins are a cause for caution. Some guns could go off without someone actually shooting it with the safety on... but you gotta have an antique or a defective product and have used it wrong or never maintained it. My time dealing with OSHA at the DOT really changed my attitude towards safety to make sure we talked about actual concerns, not hypothetical situations.

It takes nearly 100psi to break skin. No it isnt safe, but the whole embolism caused by an air gun is not actually possible unless it's a mighty extreme situation. I inject air in myself every other week. Per the doctors instructions as trying to "get out the air bubble" means I lose a small portion of the $2700 a month medication I take. Directly into a being is a different beast, but even then it would have to be an IV and if your healthy and of the 75% of people who dont have a pre disposed condition to be sensitive, it's not likely.
-
You can inject several CCs of air into yourself and have no problems. I looked it up and it would take .5 cc into a vein. Unless there is some kind of decompression going on like with divers or open wounds it is so unlikely. I'm not saying it didnt happen but there was something else going on with your co workers.

Sounds like something from Florida or Germany.

I measure humidity to people by how many inches from a fat person's crotch it feels like.

Killing it coach! All that work on the AC... I'm mowing.... AND HAVING A FIRE!! Lol Had to burn a fence that collapsed in the storm a few weeks back. Fucking neighbors tree landed on it and insurance wouldn't cover it because it's too old.

I think the problem here is that I had 2 unrelated problems, that both resulted in the furnace/AC not working correctly. The first problem was that the furnace blower motor was running but not turning the blower pulley. That was solved with tension. The second problem was the thermostat not seated properly to the wall mount. Completely unrelated but happened at the same time. Thats why I lost so much sleep trying to figure it all out.
-
Oh, I got it fixed. It was at the thermostat on the wall... maybe I'm using the wrong term. The connection problem was just the fact it was not seated right.
-
Our heat index was higher than AZ actually. I did see some Texas channels giving MN the "Bless your heart" treatment over the heat though. Lol

@///M5 I'm glad the AC is working too. Furnace is so old the tech said it would take a few days to get parts if that blower or the bearings on it went out. It's awesome that you love coaching so much. The boys will always remember that. When it comes to tools, I'm just trying to spend from your pockets and then come use your toys!

Hey! Yeah I did. Thanks for asking Mike. The thermostat was being a bitch and not sending the signal. Somehow the connection was tight enough to look like it was running... but wasnt sending the signal. I felt proud that I figured out how to tighten the tension, but I guess I over tightened it. The tech backed that off a bit, and the agressive rattling stopped. He had no idea how a belt went from fine to so loose it couldnt spin the blower wheel. Everything was fine however. Just tightened all bolts and collars on the motor.

Yass queen!

When I said 2000 I meant 1 ton. My bad. I should have clarified.

DRO is for fancy people. The only mill I've ever used was probably just over 2000 pounds and it never had a problem. That said, it wasnt for anything mission critical that lives depended on. I would have personally trusted every cut, but it for sure was just a basic type of mill.
-
I bet you could use a connection to get a deal on an industrial Haas unit Sean. If you wanna go cheep, find a little 2000 Bridgeport and never look back.
-
Buy a nice little mill and call it a day.

While I do have a script for gabapentin, and it helps take the edge off of the nerve pain, I meant the over the counter amino acid GABA. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00E7TWV5M/ref=mp_s_a_1_13_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1531487103&sr=8-13&keywords=gaba&th=1&psc=1

Yup. Been on it, and GABA. Its helped a bunch.

My AC shit on me last night. At 4am I was balls deep in the furnace and it turns out the blower wasnt spinning because the belt was all stretched like a polish whore. Thank god it's from the 50s and had a tensioner. The motor wasnt happy with no air flow however. Get home tonight and its borked again. Fucking thermostat was just slightly off and it's not smart enough to tell me it isnt sending the signal to the fucking furnace or AC. The tech is coming out in the AM, but I'm not a fan of trying to sleep in humid armpit fresh air after a downpour. At least I'll get more than 3 hours of sleep tonight.... I hope.
