If you have boots, make sure the bench is tall enough..... make sure you have some waterproof flooring/mats. Even tough tile will take an ass kicking over time with salt and sand....

My uncle had a very similar bench/cubby in the mud room off the garage in his old place. It was where we would all get suited before sledding.

I really like the old Chevy pick ups. That one from expendables was nice. Flat black was a bit odd but interesting.

I'll guess your basement wall cracked and now letting water in, time to talk to some local contractor folks. Going to have to be the last resort. If I can ensure no run off water can access the wall first, then that is what is going to happen. If it the water table rising, then it will have to be a whole basement remodel. With insulated finished walls the cost and time of stripping the basement interior the time and money would be close to digging up the exterior to waterproof and not as effective. This is either something we did when we took out the pond, or something that broke at the same time.

Definitely putting either a water feature back in, or one of those run off pockets with a pump. The old cement pond/water feature actually had a slope towards the house. It did have black plastic to stop weeds though. So when I got water the first time I thought maybe that shitt plastic stopped it. So I used black rubber about 10feet out. Then water still came in. So I started looking. Well the old owner siliconed where the driveway hits the house. And looking at it right now the silicone is completely worthless. So maybe the rubber is pushing the water onto the driveway faster than previous years.

    Companies that have Pre-Sales

There are times when it benefits the customer and the company. The practice can be dubious though. I'm not even sure on the legality of selling a product that isn't in existence when some of the rules around sales involve not taking payment until you DO have the product. Lots of those laws/rules aren't enforced for good reason, but it does cast a wierd light on the practice or presale. Some companies I trust however and would not hesitate to buy a presale product I wanted.

I am "lucky" that it is comming from only one area inside. The carpet soaks it up fast though. Fucking renting a rug doctor every other weak is a bitch.

I know how to find a leak and patch it. I repaired whole basement this spring. Just never dealt with run off like this. The foam noodle and sealing over it along the driveway and then maybe having it grade away from the house will be my first step. What is the best product to use in that joint and how cold can it be when I put it in??
