you must not have heard about the new mustang ford is working on. 1200Hp straight from the factory Well, thats a 200k car that only a few will be made and even less will own one. I can go down to dealer and drive off in a gt500 today, Thats what interests me. The GT500 isnt cheap by any means but it can be had in the 50's.the new Aventador or nothing.

Sean sounds like an ass hole to those who don't want to listen. Funny thing is that his primary and fundamental driving force is that he tries to leave things better than the way he found them. Never met anyone else who helped me touch up a resume, in less than a day loaned me 750+ bucks in stuff so I could help my family, and let me have just about the ONLY relaxing day of last year. It is kind of amusing that he gets the focus of what is our go to antagonist. Not that he is a hero by any conventional wording, but he is a great whipping post. Like another capers crusader, he is the hero SSA needs. ROFLMAO. I doubt he will even know the movie reference....

Shit. I'm sorry. R1. I have been backwards. Started on f159 online, but for performance you are right. A mustang forum would be most useful. I just thought I wouldn't get traction asking about 5.4 for a truck, but a lot of those guys like the 5.4.

Design and build awesome shit. Then sell it. Sounds simple to me. If you build it, they will come.

Sean, lets start making subwoofers and speakers. Turn this audio industry on it's head.

I take that back, I have poked inside a 5.0 from a mustang and whatever V8 was in the bronco.... Both were really built up and I just got to touch and not put parts together.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Thanks for the help R2. I don't know why I am having so much trouble researching information for this project. I am probably on the wrong type of truck forum, and definitely not familiar with engine parts. The only engines I have put together were 4 cylinder rice grinders and a couple Chevy V8s.... And again I was just told how to put parts in it. Like expensive legos. I read part of the book you mentioned regarding the terminator engine, but I got a little lost and some things don't directly translate to the 5.4. Anyway, thank you for helping me learn.

You can build the chassis however you see fit. I don't know much about off-roading, so you'd be better served asking elsewhere for that. Stock for stock, and maybe slightly built the 2V has more torque than the 4V, but only down low. This will be negated once you add gears and boost. 6-800 should be easily attainable with boost and reliable as well. I can't comment on the crank, but many have used the cast crank at 600HP; I personally would not, but you are welcome to do whatever. The Lightning and Shelby cranks easily handle 800HP, but I think they are a bit more than $600. Hell, the Cobra cranks were around a grand last time I looked. Stock radiator should be adequate, while larger and or upgraded coolers are always a good idea. Thank you for the general info. I was so thrown off by why some cranks were $2000 or more. The ford forged crank sounds like it would be more than enough.

I haven't. Hopefully next week if it's not too hot I'll try to go out. I still need to get a reloader, and start going out a few times a month. I would be out daily if I lived in the desert........It also would be nice to sell beds there. $$$$$ I was going out pretty often, but it got hot and my class is at night so I don't get up early. More people use beds in AZ than MN? More retiree's.Yup, the ones who have enough cheddar to be snow birds too. Usually have a healthy amount of guest bedrooms, and you gotta get the grandkids a good bed!

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

AZ would be a good match for me. Make a sand rail/buggy/trophy truck thing, buy guns and shoot guns, and slang beds. Little to no pressure changes to make my arthritis go crazy. The heat would be hard to get used to.
