    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I really didn't expect the intensity of the M5. Having tried to get the M6 to wake up and get lively, I thought it would be peppy. Everything I read kind of pointed to the M6 being a bit more mundane but just as quick for the most part..... That is a FUCKING lie it is a rocket.

I'm shocked at how nasty bad ass that E60 gets when power is on and S mode is ready. I didn't let them spin, but I could have made the whole test drive sideways. Despite the TQ advantage the E55 and E63 Benz feel tame. I think the suspension is just kinder to the tires on Benz. The M5 is much more intense. It also feels lighter and tighter though.

I cannot find one to test. Though I haven't looked because of the huge huge price jump.

Well, as Quinton mentioned, it's a bitch to own.I can afford to keep it going. It is if I want to.... It's a lot to have hanging over my head. One of the reasons I love the 996 is it is engine, transmission, and that's it. No funky junk. E46M3 is the same to me.

I do hate the classic I drive in that thing... But that snarl is worth it.

Drove an S5. I drove the M first as it was down the street at St Paul(Maplewood) Audi.I did not get to see if I would be happier with a chilli pepper though. Getting into the e60 took some folding until I got the hang of the chair and steering wheel. Ah, I thought after I threw out the $30k S8 you said you had just driven one. If I had to buy a car...I completely missread that as S5. S8 sounds fun but out of my price range I bet. LoL

I had that M3 pinned for a couple of the turns. It is waaaay easier to drive. Exhilarating but in a much more secure and calm way.I felt that the M5s right pedal could cause some serious issues if you let it.

I cannot believe you didn't scoop up an e60. This thing is amazing. It is as good as the M3. Where the M3 is perfect to me like the 911s the M5 is more my personality. Loud and pushy and more fun that it should be.

You felt it was too small for you to get comfortable???

That thing was.... Beyond amazing to drive. Like nonsense. It made the M6 look pedestrian and boring. I don't know how, but it did. And traffic was enough that I could only wring about 70% of the intensity out of it. Maybe less. The breaks were like a 200ton anchor. It held traction like glue. It was a little bit brutal.... And I liked that.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

This was a 2006 and it felt like the most insane car I have ever driven. It made a z06 feel slow in comparison. It was too small, too angry and the clutch needed to be pushed more than a foot and a half to hit the bottom. It was hate and fury distilled into a car and given grip. You must have just been smoking the meats on the Z. No way it could feel slower. No possible way. That car should easily eat the Audi. AWD is sneaky and forgiving, I don't doubt it at allThat much power made it feel unpredictable with how it would claw up pavement. I think the RS5 would be much more friendly.... And waaaaaaaaaaay more comfortable.

Felt. Probably wasn't. It felt like it was spinning all 4. Maybe both cars had shit tires but I was nervous to use everything in the RS4. The Vette felt like it was ok under WOT.

And comfy. But with that many miles it makes me nervous. However the double clutch makes the car waaaaaaaaaaaay better than the manual. I just got out of one a few min ago. And then pounded an '06 RS4 because it was on the lot. That bitch was dirty stank fast.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I have a bad habit of making excuses on why I shouldnt do things I want. I end up more depressed and sometimes spending more on some kind of bandaid than if I just scratched the itch.
