The wife is always afraid food has gone bad, especially milk. She has me test it to see if things are actually bad or her nose is fooling her. So last night I tried some. I accidentally swallowed and man oh man it was bad. I am not sure how this turkey day is going to play out....

The short stroke might help.

Ignore that. Apparently they might be all blues. That is kind of cool. Blue keys are my least favorite for gaming because of the extremely loud snap on the bump, and slow down the double tap.
-
...I'm fairly certain that only WASD are mechanical. It even says "104 normal keys"

Tokina 11-16 2.8, no IS but it is sharp and sweet. All the Scandihoovia pics I shot with it.Canon equivalent not worth the extra $$$?

Sounds good... I will keep you appraised of the situation. :-)

I noticed what I typed, and then decided it was best to leave it. A little gender bender joke is always a classy way to go.

That will be in someone's signature.

Are they sold locally? I always have a strap on.
-
What strap do you recommend? I am going to watch some videos and see how they work.
-
I really want to try a black rapid strap.

I think some of the cheep P&S POSes are worth buying. #1 you can call it disposable, and if you ruin, wreck, or loose it, it's way cheeper than a new phone. At least my phone.... #2 they are capable of taking better pictures than a cell phone. Not a lot, but kind of. #3 if you care about pulling it out and being ready to shoot, most are faster than your cell phone. I also see the value, or maybe not value but beauty and charm, of something like the Leica M9. Maybe if I had a large bankroll and wanted to focus on street photography, especially of strangers, it would be worth saving for. But I am really happy carrying around my big old DSLR and a huge lens. I take pics of people I know, so I don't mind being a bit more conspicuous.

Check this, pick some uber camera like an M9 or 5diii for the primary camera and then pick the alpha 77 vs the t5i. I tried to preset it for you, but sometimes the link doesn't carry my choices when you go to the URL. Better ISO, better edges, etc, you can see for yourself. Colors are different, but neither is "wrong". The video on the Canon... years better if you want to get something done. That new sensor on the 70D is just damn amazing for a crop too. Like pew pew Murica kinda awesome. Like a new Raptor VS a biplane kinda crazy. What is amusing is I think... don't quote me... Nikon uses Sony sensors, and Nikon does a better job of it than sony does. LAWLZ. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/studiocompare.asp#baseDir=%2Freviews_data&cameraDataSubdir=boxshot&indexFileName=boxshotindex.xml&presetsFileName=boxshotpresets.xml&showDescriptions=false&headerTitle=Studio%20scene&headerSubTitle=Standard%20studio%20scene%20comparison&masterCamera=leica_m9&masterSample=l1000755&slotsCount=4&slot0Camera=leica_m9&slot0Sample=l1000755&slot0DisableCameraSelection=true&slot0DisableSampleSelection=true&slot0LinkWithMaster=true&slot1Camera=canon_eos700d&slot1Sample=img_0781&slot2Camera=sony_slta77&slot2Sample=dsc02754&x=0&y=0 Again, if you like Sony, you just do. But it does nueter your capabilities in the actual ability to get the image. Learning a new UI and button lay out sucks of course though.

As I said, the Sony has some cool features, but when you get down and into it with photography the Sony leaves quite a bit to be desired. I'm not saying it's a dog, and some of it's tricks are cool. Lots of FPS if you need it for sports.

T5i is new to 2013. It's a bit of a silly revision. It's nearly the same as my t4i. And that thing is a beast. I got the STM lens 18-135 and body for ~1000 and it is a super duper value.
-
Like comparing a VW GTI to a BMW M6 Not the same class.
-
I like the options and price of lenses do tend to be cheaper but I don't know. My friend has a t3i and I absolutely hated itThat design is extremely old and way way lower in the model line up dollar wise to the Sony. Like way way.

They grow on you. Like fungus. Or mold... Or herpes. The truth is that the camera is just an extension of you. If you want the most support and most options you use Canon or Nikon. Leica, and other esoteric brands are cool too, and offer some really amazing stuff. But the truth is they can all take great pictures. It's just that down the road, unless you want to buy into a lot of extra or specialized stuff, the 2 big brands will usually give you the best bang for your buck. YMMV.

The new 70-200 IS ii from Canon may be the clearest best working zoom lens made. It's being held up as high as the non IS previous versions. Now that I plan on traveling I will want to take landscape photos.... So I will need a wide. That is my only concern.

70D is like what what amazing. 5Diii is the camera that all others want to be, unless you are the 1DX. :pops a boner:

Jump ship man. Go Sony 7 mirrorless or go Canon/Nikon. This is your only option.
