the kickstarter is at $5.5m with 8 days left. ridiculous. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1003614822/ponomusic-where-your-soul-rediscovers-music My understanding is he wanted a player that was better than MP3. I sure as shit can tell an mp3 from a CD with my good headphones or my Martin Logan's. The Logan's are particularly cruel to production and compression. They make some of my most nostalgic albums sound like flat shit because of it. Just cruel cruel speakers. The flip side is, some of those really well recorded albums have so much hidden content that they sound remastered compared to listening on junk speakers.

Blades and 10" are the only real "problem" to me. And it's not that big of a deal. But again, if I'm paying sticker the Bosch was awesome. I didn't think Hitachi made anything worth my time. I burn through routers somehow. Gone through 2 in the last 3 projects. Just long enough the warranty doesn't matter.
-
Dust collection. It destroys everything else in dust collection. Murders it. That or the Bosch was set up wrong. For the price difference I would probably buy the Bosch though. However I can probably get close enough to employee pricing for Festool if I really wanted one in my shop.
-
I have actually used the Bosch and festool. Both were great. The festool felt less sturdy, but from everything I read they are actually incredibly durable.
-
The festool is balls out fantastic.

Negotiating is good J. Get what you can.

So they gave me a Chevy Cruz, and it's somehow smaller than the cobalt inside. Also has a chipped windshield that we missed on the workaround.
-
Yup!
-
Sitting at Chevy, getting the cobalt looked at. Guess we get a free rental, and perhaps keep the rental until they get the parts and replace it.

Indeed. It's just a density thing. How much can you smash into one PCIe slot. I'm at just over 4k for my monitors now so I get a lot of stutter. It's an interesting set up, but completely not with the $$$$ to me. The 780ti in 6gb is though. Especially if the 800 series is more than a year away.
-
I wouldn't mind a few for chemistry. It's much better geared towards the high density that will be needed in that kind of application. I don't know but it might be scratching at the physical bandwidth of that slot. It's got to be around 9 flops man.

I'm torn on the cooler idea. It's great for a big serving farm, kinda sorta. But I would rather have a block cooler and put the radiator outside or near an exhaust vent.
-
It is, but I'm beyond tired of it. For me it all means more water, more coordinated getting around etc. I'm "over" it. But it is beautiful.
