Correction, the f4 is 17-35
-
So the tokina 16-28 FX comes in 2.8 or 4.....
-
That makes the most sense.
-
Just let me know. Or maybe I can get a day off and we can shoot together.
-
Ok, so I cannot type a review from my phone but I tried all the great whites... Unless your only shooting well lit sports, you want 2.8. Also the 2.8 is sharper. It also works better. The IS is flawless and the panning mode will be nice for soccer. Also, it is so fast to focus. Seriously Sean, it's worth it. I know it's not the fact it costs more, it's the fact that something cheeper might do as good of a job. Nothing less will do as good of a job however. Maybe you neither need nor want the extra light and accuracy of the big boy, or the panning IS, but it is in every way, other than weight, better than any other 70-200

My kit lens is 17 or 18mm and 3.5 at the low end.I know but with what else you have you will never usr itI was more saying that that a super wide lens like that might not be as good as a lens I own already.
-
Easy mistake. Never cut above your head.
-
If the tokina is around on Monday I'll probably look into it.
-
Not that I love Ken, but I really do like this. http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/lenses/18-135mm-stm.htm I wouldn't have picked up a lens in that zoom range but I need 2.8 for a large part of the lower light shots I do.

It's been pretty usefull for a work event.

Stop focusing on people, they are easy.Do realize for them the difference between the 24 and 17 is 2 steps. For taking shots of stuff though a 17 makes it possible where you miss the shot with the 24. I shoot 90% people, or animals. But I do get your point.
-
That is purely for fun/art shots. And low low light. The 85mm is way more at 1.2.
-
Ok, so you made me nervous. I slapped on the 24-70 and shot some lifesized cut outs in my store. It was pretty perfect. I will continue the eval. Makin me nervous smalls.

You really need the big white IS ii Sean. It's they god damn best lens ever.
-
I mean wow awesome
-
It is the best money I have spent on camera gear ever. Seriously amazeballs.
-
This is true. My kit lens is 17 if I need to go super wide, So the last few things I shot I only used the 70-200 I did pop on the 17-135 for some wide family portraits, but I RARELY felt like I was too long. Did you see those shots of the baby I sent you? Those were with my kit lens, I'm not convinced that I will much more for posed shots or decently lit shots. I got the super fast prime for.... Because I wanted it.... And really low light. Also the 24-70 is perfect for waist up so far.

I'm actually just about to walk out of work. An hour abd 30 after close. Finished 500% to budget or some shit. Would have done more but it just got too late for an upgrade on a product. It will start tomorrow off great.

Your gonna get sick Neal. Drink for me.

Stay up late, drink rum, watch porn, and scream out the window then go to bed when the sun rises. No booze for a while longer. Still on meds etc. Also work in the AM.

Pack is for Rome. Do you recommend the black rapid strap then? I haven't purche one yet. I need something to cary my gear through the airport and all over Europe man. 2.8 70-200, 1.2 50mm, 2.8 24-70mm, 2x extender and a full size flash.Batteries and incedentals. Need to have access to be good enough for a wedding to hold shit, and not scream steal me.
