    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Super high shutter speed. Great AF system. Sean is right though. A better price of glass will help.more than anything.

My urologist could palm a beach ball. 2 knuckle digger at most. My old GP on the other hand (fisting jokes are fun) basically had to get elbow deep to hit gold. She was so tiny it was basically like you milking an elephant I figure.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I'm sorry man, that is horse shit. I hope it is nothing. I had a similar problem that felt like cramps. In the beginning it happened after having beer and peanuts together. At that time I felt it was related. Now I don't think it was. My "cramps" we're so bad I thought it was my bowels pushing on my bladder. As of today I have no explanation other than it may have been a result of dehydration and/or complications from my autoimmune issues. Don't starve yourself of water if at all possible. It could be a kidney or bladder inflammation issue and starving them would make it worse. Hopefully they don't have to scope you. : shudders :

The need for a better body will be Sussex out when we know what he has...

If that is an option, then Heck yes.I assumed she wanted her own body. If so it's nearly impossible to beat the 7D used as a sport camera. Not in the budget though if real glass is to be bought. I suppose a non IS f/4 70-200 could mate with it, but I'd rather up the ante on the lens to at least the 70-200 f4 IS ($1300) and use the body he has.Could a 2.8 without IS be had? I think I would take that.

I had every intention of buying the 7D mk ii to replace the T4i. It isn't a replacement however. It's so specialized for a new camera that it isn't a good second camera unless you have one of the absolute tippy top options with everything on it. If you want to shoot birds, and other wildlife, it's the camera. Unless they ruined the AF system, but it actually looks to be the best AF they have ever made, on paper. The original 7D is such an amazing value now because of the price drop. The only annoying feature is it is CF card not SD card.

I will admit I'm biased as I own it, but independent reviews that measure optics, focus speed, accuracy, true to its stated focal length, low distribution etc etc end up support what I felt when I used them. Nikon has a better sensor that can handle more dynamic situations and pull more out of shadows, but the glass and the user interface is not nearly as good. Not even close. At least in every relatively close comparison I have seen. If I was shooting with 500mm or more, and had 10k+ to spend on a body alone then that Nikon might make sense. but then when I came down to the 70-200 range I would still keep a Canon just to use the 70-200 IS mk ii. Nikon has no glad that is comparable at that zoom length. Their 70-200 nikor is terrible.

Sports. From how far away? A used 7D and one a good L lens would be pretty awesome. The 70D is compelling if you want to do video. Best advice is buy the best glass you can afford. The best telephoto zoom made is the Canon 70-200 IS 2.8 mk ii. Unless your looking for super telephoto. It's $2300 or something like that.

I had one on my lip that must have had 1ml of fluid. Maybe more. Felt like a gallon spewed out. It was so deep the whitehead was invisible basically. I just steamed my face with a towel and squeezed. Thing burst like crazy.

My pictures with flash SUCK compared to those without. All the more reason I lean on fast glass.Pretty sure you need 2 flashes to get it to work worth a shit. Flash is for light control and fill.Just take it off the camera. 2 flashes is cool but I do just as well with one and the light in the room/outside. That part I am okay with, difficulty is when the light is too low for a person shot and you need more. Then I get glow face and dark background thus the reason for the second.I set it up in my store with our near life size cut outs. It helped me to figure out what to do. They are shiny coated, so it helps me to be more careful than I need to. It took me more than an hour to get it right.... When winter hits and there is no sun in the store in the evening I will practise more. The new location is open to 100% evening sun, so it is worthless to practice here now. A model would help with shadows, but handling highlights has always been worse for me. The simple answer of course is an umbrella. On the T4i, it's so easy. The on camera flash is 100% just fill. The off camera nissin is the light bazooka. 2-3 min after a couple test shots. If I got a second flash for the 6D, then it would be done.

35mm is REALLY short to have for a long endI agree, and while I would not have said "just crop it to add zoom" back in the day, with a really great lens like that and the high megapixels of the Sony, I think that lens offers the absolute best value in the crop world. It's a wide angle and a 50mm that is blindingly fast. F1.8!

Fahsho That 18-35 is fuggin sweeeeeeeeeet IMHO. 1.8 and a great focal length for most situations.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Neal, this would be the lens I would be looking at if I was going to use a crop sensor. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/967344-REG/sigma_18_35mm_f1_8_dc_hsm.html My only fear is that 3rd party brands don't have the backing of the lens shots on you.

I also use it to blow out the background or bring up the foreground. It's great for causing separation in a photo. Just bounce it, or if possible take it off the body camera.
