My traveling is so little, so I might be a bad source. What made my trip there truly memorable is how absolutely near exhausted sick I was with a flu/sinus infection and arthritis flare up and I still loved every minute of that visit. Even laying in the apartment eating cheese and strawberries that I can't even describe.... If I was there for a few day right now it would be heaven. Much better than house projects.

Say hello in French, then ask if they speak English in French.... Done. If you talk to them in another language first you get a much different experience. I did study French, but have retained little. My accent is particularly Parisian though due to my teacher and her time in Paris, they stroked the Fuck out of my ego.

Paris is easily the most amazing place I have been. It's beautiful and the people are wonderful. The food is literally indescribable. I didn't even see the museums.

Some day we can go for a rip Sean. I am super annoyed with my lack of speed and skill on this project.

You suck!wish we had snow here. Managed a hair under 450miSuper jelly. I'm working on the kitchen. Went from rough drywall to primed. Might get painted and living room half painted tomorrow. It's basically garunteed I'm going to pay someone to finish the trim and other woodwork. Fuck.

Outlawing sugar and mandating exercise and vegetables could probably prevent diabetes. Should we force that?

A 6 pack in a night causes liver damage. More than once a week and you are considered a chronic binge drinker by almost any medical standards. You are hurting yourself. Do something or don't. If you don't stop though it will be a lot harder for your docs to help you.
-
Combine that with high stress and you are killing yourself slowly. Same as smoking, or any other carcinogenic addictive drug. You need to make decisions for yourself, but don't talk yourself into it being neutral, much less helpful.

6 beers a day 5 days a week is enough to cause liver damage, much less other medical issues. High BP is one of the most common and major.

Paris, is easily the most amazing city. We spent 4 of 5 days sick while there. If we hadn't been exhausted and ill I would bet that we would have had even more fun. We ate out only 1 time.... At the wrong bistro. It was almost the same name and across the street from where we intended. We still ate better then I could have imagined. The quality of convenience store ingredients is better than our farmers market I think. So, fucking good. The people were also the most kind and inviting I have met. I only have Rome as a reference so there is that.

If I'm spending any time on concrete floors or similar, the arch support is needed for sure. Short walks and on earth, sand, or turf would be ok I bet.
-
Sean, I'm off Friday-Tuesday. I have some things going on Monday and Tuesday in the early to late afternoon however. If there isn't any snow, let's still fit something in if possible. Hopefully your schedule allows.

Do those shoes have arch support?

I wear them out for more than school. I like having the toes protected anywhere witha shit load of people, drunks, kids, or where I may find a desire to use my feet for more than walking. Honestly my top three pieces of footwear are flipflops, my combat boots, and steel toed boots.I refuse Timberlands after having three pairs losing stitches in under 6 months. J And here I am essentially walking around in socks: Most comfortable "shoes" I've ever worn. I really like those "dress" ones. I could definitely get away with those at the office. Wife won't let me spend that kind of money on shoes like that though lol.I spent $600+ on shoes I barely wear outside. :-)

What was for lunch?I have been trying to add your Apple and a walk routine for when I'm sleepy in the afternoon. It works ok. I'm having trouble eating "healthy" or decent portions. Definitely not getting enough protein for my work outside, but this is helping temper my hunger and tiredness while not eating shit. Tuna (yes I eat some fish after heavy lifting days), yogurt, banana, peanuts, and apple. I snack between each meal. Can you sneak in small meals through out the day to help reduce large portions at standard meal times? That is what I am working on. I need something to heat food other than a microwave.

I was ~4 blocks away from an office store. I just need to find my way out of this small area around the mall and be reminded where the store was. It kept trying to send me to a store miles away at another mall.

I have recently become upset with Google's lack of map skills.

Let's see I wear flip flops all the time, but then want steel toe. At seperate points, they both make sense.Example, wrestling shows and concerts. People step on your damn toes all the time. Steel toes help prevent the crushing feeling. The beach, doing minor errands around town, playing mini golf. All places where your toes are relatively safe. J Even with size 16's in crowded places I don't get stepped on...but no one likes to be really close to Paul BunyanI get a lot of room in crowds too. Do you find however that small children cannot see you? When I worked with kids they did nothing but run into my legs, and them proceed to tell me they couldn't see me.
