None of the above stated drugs are addictive or have the possibility of lethal overdosing. Alcohol, amphetamines, and opioids have both. As far as driving goes, hell there are plenty of OTC cold remedies that I wouldn't take if I knew I was driving in the near future. Any behavior can be addictive.... Even healthy things. Perhaps we cannot gain chemical dependence in the way we can to opiates, but the behavior and stimulus is still addictive. I digress, I agree that those drugs are still better than booze.

I think it's more of the point that most of those drugs are less addictive, and if just in reference to driving, no one really wants to trip balls and drive IMHO.
