I assume yours are used as vacuums?I got a root that loves suction.

Roots makes more power down low. Efficiency only comes into play when you are spinning the compressor at full hoot pretty much as well which is 17+psi and I don't currently have the motor to do that. That being said, if the dude in the thread can provide me with all I need that would sway me. We use roots blowers at work and stock a complete system. Last night when I was looking at it I thought of how to adapt it to a motor. Great cheep blowers.... But I feel you are better off screwed.

Roots has more on the lower side given the same displacement etc? That isn't how I understand that. Aside from price I didn't know of a single reason to go roots over screw. Do you have some info on roots providing more power down low?

Twin screw for sure. Other than price I cannot think of a reason to go roots over twin screw. The screw is cooler and has less parasitic draw.

Huh?The injectors were the faulty part. I walked into the 2011 knowing it would happen if it hadn't already. Apparently as those injectors go they put a lot of wear on the rest of the system. That is an absurd amount of money for injectors. No reason they should wear out either. The injectors were not built to what they should have been.Bad parts, or bad judgement on BMW. They were tested to spec...I know that for sure. Just wondering if their is an intrinsic design difficulty. Are the new ones different. From my week of reading up on the bm'ers I gather there is a bad batch of injectors from time to time. Some models used injectors other than Bosch and had problems was the only other thing I read. Either way sounds like a warranty might not be a bad idea with the cost of repairs on them. Maybe not a pig to drive, but a pig to service. It has really only been "common" in the V8 with hair dryers. What I read was the seal was bad due to gaskets not able to handle the pressure. All I cared was that the the CPO covered it, and they new design on the injectors meant no more problems.

Really? A few of my buddies who ride cross country love them. They ride enduro style bikes though...

Fuck, sexySeriously? Like the 6, it looks like a retarded turtle or Beetle.I thought so at first as well. Then I drove one. I look at them differently now. Pretty much my ideal vehicle except the cost.I hated the x6 at first also.

Ultra is ok. EDC is probably a much better time. Also, the whole winter music conference was much better than Ultra. I don't think it's in SoBe anymore however... Been a loooooong time.

I was nervous as all hell getting a first year body style. CPO sold me on the car and I was hamstrung to the fact I NEEDED to buy one ASAP.

It is really the only fault I could find with this new twin power V8 that were not anomalies and relatively rare.

There is only ONE reason that FWD cars exist. They are cheaper to make. That is the exclusive reason.Yup. FWD is so much more problematic.

Aaron, I'm sitting in Athleta waiting for the wife to try on some stuff.... Wrong club came on. I wish I had some baby powder and my leather soles on. This joint brings me back to 5:30 am in Miami for WMC dancing all night. Anyway... Thinking of you from the ladies dressing room. :-D

The more I learn the more humbled I become and the more I understand I know nothing. I feel I'm a pragmatic expert in sales at this point but the constant application of the highest level of my craft is still so difficult. When discussing technical information, anecdotal or otherwise on subjects I know I have vast experience in I spend more time learning that doing now.... The period where I felt I knew everything was so short lived, and I'm so thankful for that.
