Clean work... Cant wait til its finished. -
Damn, even gettin the homies to bail. good stuff.
-
Its easy but I need to get a car jack to get to the alternator to run the wire.
-
Its a 120 amp alt. And I havent bought a volt meter yet which I plan on getting. I figure that I would be safe voltage wise because I dont have hardly any dimming. When I had shitty 8 gauge wire in previously I had to keep the gain down because of the dimming.
-
Heres a quick video of the system. Added zero gauge wire and now I just need to do big 3 which is coming in on Christmas. Seems a bit odd that I am not getting any dimming of my lights with the amp. Anyone know why?
-
I highly recommend the beyerdeynamic dt 990 pros. I use them with the fiio e17 because they are 250 ohm. They sound phenomenal and the headphone amp allows you to eq the bass where the headphones lack.
-
Sounds promising. Hopefully it will turn out as well as the ethos did
-
Hey whats the song in the video called swift?
-
Oh yea and you should look into the DSS ethos, you can have one for under 350 shipped. If you have seen big jons build or anyone that has reviewed them you would see that they are a good bang for you buck.
-
Your not going to be dissapointed with any of the above options.
-
Its impossible to tell what will be louder but if you ask people on the forums I can guess they would take an Xcon 15 over 2 sa's. I have heard through people that the sound of the xcons are real nice and they get loud.
-
Yeah your best option would be to do 2 12's or 1 15. If I had the decision I would most likely do an xcon 15 or if your not looking to spend as much then grab an Icon.
-
How much room do you have to work with? Thats gunna be the main factor in deciding what you should get.
-
Nor one that is $355 shipped. Are you still going to make the 3500 rms version of the ethos? There will be 3,500 rms sub at one point the Name and ETA is undetermined. I have to get out to some shows this season and do a little advertisement to see what the needs of the market is. I'm assuming that you have already answered this, but where did you get most of your knowledge with starting a company/ learning to build a good/affordable sub. Have you worked for any specific companies or have you gathered most of your knowledge on the web?

Great review man. Never could really tell how beefy that icon motor was until I saw those pics.
-
I +1 that I ordered a box from him and he did a great job for an affordable price.
-
Probably because of that amp i would guess.

So you plan on using two drivers? I think you will be impressed if you just have two of the 15s on the two 2500s.
-
Makes more sense now that you explained it. And I didn't realize that the ns1's were that much
-
Alright I didnt realize you were limited on space. Just figured that you could buy another one since you already have one and when you strap them they put out the about the same power as the AB. But I guess now that I think about it it would be smarter to just sell the ns1 and pay the difference for the AB.
-
i can see you did not read a hand full of statements in my topic ... What did I miss?
-
Can you strap another ns1? they are bit cheaper than the AB1100 I thought.
-
I dont think either of those subs will like 5k daily. If it comes down to both of them though I would just get whichever is cheaper.
