You gunna run the b2 x2c's with the 5 inch coil?
-
It depends on what you like. I've had a 32 hz tuning, 26 hz tuning and 21 hz tuning. I like the 26 and 21 hz tunings. Play very flat.

Sundown Sa12's or single ZV3 15?
khinds94 replied to Bryan Mckendry's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I dont think you will see much improvement from BL to Zv3. I would just tune lower if I were you. If you like playing with subs though I get ya, im the same way. Depending on electrical you could always go with a 3.5k down the road which is where the zv3 might give you the output your looking for -
Teams would probably be better on ~4k for low end. Don't be afraid to tune low either.
-
No the HDC4 are not good for low end. I've heard people putting them in low tuned enclosures and not liking the result as much as other subs. Go with any other sub u mentioned preferably sp4 as they will take the power staying relatively cost effective
-
This is a fourth order BP right? So in order to change the tuning do you have to change the thickness of the loading wall?

How are you going to gain 4 dbs by only increasing power? Your redesigning your box at all? -
Battery options help
khinds94 replied to Bryan Mckendry's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Get the biggest battery you can fit under the hood. Your gunna have to take measurements probably. But you should be able to hold 12s with the XS -
One of these with a chrome basket and carbon fiber cap would be nice Or would a different basket not work?

incriminator audio scion xb build, 2 18" judges on an NS1
khinds94 replied to icluphf's topic in Build Logs
Nice build man, what were the mistakes that you said you wanted to fix? With 3k on each I wouldnt make the box TOO big, but you can definitely gain output making the box bigger and adding more bracing. not too many people know the power handling on the judges but Im sure you can tell if they can take more. -
The dual leads are 20 bucks extra

Voltage problem?
khinds94 replied to khinds94's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Your right it is 1/0 but it came with 250 amp fuses? -
I have a xp2000 in the back and when I bought it I put it in my car and it charged at 13.1 or 14.4 @ 2k rpm. A few days ago when I turned my car on my voltage was at 13.1 like it normally charges at but when I revved the engine it wouldnt charge to 14.4, it slowly then dropped by .1 around per day until I unhooked it because it got to around 12.2. So I checked my connections and grounds and saw no problems. I then looked at the front battery and it was charging at 13.1 and 14.4, but the xp2000 in the back does not charge when its hooked up. So I hooked it up to a charger overnight and it read about 14.4 in the morning and unhooked it, I then went to work and came back and it was back at 13. I put it back in the car to see if it would charge by the alternator to 13.1/14.4 but it sat at 13.5 and continues to drop by .1 everyday. I dont understand why the alt is not charging it. Am I suppose to charge the bat higher than 14.4 initially?

Lol everything's working now...and I probably should get an agm up front lol. Voltage doesn't drop below 13.3 though full tilt.
