You're comparing apples to oranges. What was the cost of the E when it was new? How about maintenance and insurance costs? Yeah. . . On the strip it doesn't matter if you are racing an apple or an orange, a win is a win. The E55 and SRT8 are also extremely close in the slalom course and skidpad, not just 0-60 and quarter mile times

As was the difference in price
-
just to clarify: yes cost of ownership is probably more (haven't priced parts so I cannot say for certain) for mine, but I was speaking in terms of performance only. The 4 four doors and a bigger trunk comment was just a kick 'em while they're down comment.

Insurance costs are roughly the same, oddly enough
-
Performance wise its roughly on par with the Challenger SRT8 models only mine has a bigger trunk and 4 doors

but then again money is relative; for less than 12 grand you can easily modify a whole slew of vehicles that will flat out embarrass most exotics all day every day, if you're willing to work for it
-
so anyway, it seems my (eldest) sister has been eyeing the new (R/T, SRT8 is "too expensive") Challengers for a while now; when asked of my opinion "Yeah they look nice but you're going to be spending 30 grand on a sports car that still gets spanked by my 12 grand luxury sedan"

I have no idea what you just said. x2! burger sauce is almost as fun to make as it is to eat
-
I'm also told that Plochman's "Kosciusko" deli/spicy brown mustard is tasty too
