Kent: Uh, Mr. Burns, people are calling this a meltdown. Burns: [laughs] Oh, meltdown. It's one of those annoying buzzwords. We prefer to call it an unrequested fission surplus.

Any of the above laptops will work great for your needs do it the Homer Simpson way "Do you even know what button you pushed?" "Sure! Moe!"

Our last Gateway laptop survived 5 years of my sister using it so I think they're basically bulletproof

Can also get an Dell Inspiron 15R for $500. Only difference is an i3 instead of an i5 and the router only supports g/n not b/g/n (which shouldn't be a big deal) Just means you won't be able to use 802.11b (like you'd even want to); you can still use 802.11g or 802.11n

hell even something like this Asus would work; after you manually upgrade the RAM to 4GB, natch.

Different levels of on die cache, i3 does not have Intel Turbo Boost, i5 has higher clock speeds. All i3/i5/i7 based laptops with onboard graphics support full MPEG-2, VC-1, and AVC hardware acceleration so even with the lowliest models can watch 1080p video files no sweat. Basically, as long as its something with an i3/i5/i7 chip, lots of of RAM (3GB+), and a keyboard you find comfortable, you're good. I also prefer 7,200 RPM hard drives but they aren't as prevalent as the 5,400 RPM drives and they also eat more juice. You can also try PowerNotebooks if you aren't finding what you want from the other manufacturers.

Dirt Gripz are a pretty niche product; they (comparatively) don't make a whole lot of 'em and there aren't many dealers EDIT: The factory that produces the Parnelli Jones tire has filed bankrupty and the molds have been sold to another company

Looks like an impractical unitasker to me -
only that you need to wear gloves when handling halogen bulbs

My dad had terrible luck with terra grapplers. (one just separated driving down the highway) I've never seen anyone who disliked BFG A/Ts (except for the price). As far as "what I care about". I've spent a lot of time and money in sound deadening and I'd feel like an idiot to ruin that with loud tires (so yeah, I basically just took away the mud grapplers) My hope was at the time I changed tires I would have gotten a newer DD car and the truck would be a long distance vehicle anymore, but oh well. As far as on road performance. my drop down link on my front sway bar broke a few months ago and I still haven't taken the time to fix it, so I guess you can take that for what it's worth... However, I will fix that sometime. As far as off road performance. Most of my offroad time is on the beach and sometimes on the Deer Lease. Sometimes I do stupid stuff where I'm glad I have a 4wd Though the rear locker has made the best difference in offroad performance. Your best bet would a true all terrain tire in that case; Radial FC II's, DuraTracs, BFG A/T KO's, Grabber AT2s, High Country AT's, etc. There are a lot of "all terrain" tires out there that are basically designed to get a soccer mom SUV/CUV through a dirt road so watch out

Some M/T tires work great in the slop, but suck on rocks and they're loud as hell on the highway Some M/T tires work adequately in the slop, but are great on rocks and they're loud as hell on the highway Some M/T tires work great in the slop, great on rocks and you wouldn't even think of driving them on the highway Depends on the tire; there are tons and tons of customer reviews and magazine tests you can find via Google or by word of mouth with local trail riders

You know, its been nagging at me since the election... How exactly is being a POW a credential for running for president, other than PR? Being a decorated war hero, sure, but a POW?

I've seen more than a few trucks in college with Mud Grapplers; ever flown in a prop plane before? Noise levels are about the same. Off the top of my head, some other tires you can research on Google: Falken High Country All Terrain, Firestone Destination M/T, General Grabber AT2, Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac, Goodyear Wrangler MT/R, Hankook Dynapro MT RT03, Hankook Dynapro ATm RT10, Kumho Road Venture MT KL71, and Yokohama Geolander M/T That being said, the KM2's or the Trail Grapplers would also be a perfect fit for your application
