In other news, it seems Ford is going to attempt to make Fords and Lincolns more distinct from one another on future models. Who knows, they might even start making a Lincoln that is worth buying again
-
then again I'm spoiled rotten since my fish monger is literally a half mile or so from the front door; everything they sell comes off their boats from that morning's catch. Yummy

that being said, even if you can't find fresh fish, there's always mail order

No such thing as fresh crab unless you are a fisherman. It starts to deteriorate REALLY, REALLY fast so it is always cooked and frozen asap. The best in fact is cooked and frozen on the boat. Bristol Bay FTMFW!! Either way, you should NEVER eat at a Red Lobster, fucking terrible. , I don't mind it. And being in Kansas, where would I ever get anything fresh anyways? I can't just take trips to the coasts every month to get fresh stuff, nor will I go without. I have to make due with what I have. Plus this type of thing is all I've ever eaten, so I don't know any different. I buy seafood at the store obviously, but it's also obviously not fresh. And I had a gift card. Fresh has NOTHING to do with proximity to the ocean, at least not for 90% of the fish eaten anyways. :werd_msword:

Lawrence I'm seeing a Mariscos on West 6th, a Pachamama's on Quail Creek Drive, and an Angler's Seafood House on Massachusetts that all seem to be pretty decent can't seem to find any fresh fish mongers, however, there are some in Topeka and plenty in KC Finding fresh seafood in West Texas or the Texas Panhandle, now that is a challenge. sorry, I'll stop being a smart ass...for now

Wonder if they still have those Prussian pickelhaubes in stock... visual reference of a pickelhaube

Buying a gun is like buying clothes or a pair of shoes; if it ain't comfortable it ain't worth buying. You still in Beaumont? If so, check out Collector's Firearms sometime; they're on the corner of Fondren and Richmond, just north of Westpark. They've got plenty of models for you to "try on" 1911's, Sig's, Glock's, XD's, Beretta's, random military paraphernalia, you name it, they probably got it

the Trail model seems to be fairly competent off roader according to the reviews I've read

So DirecTV guys said they're coming to install sometime between 12 and 4 on Wednesday. Out of morbid curiosity I strung up a mercury thermometer an hour ago from one of the attic rafters; currently, at 2:28, the air temperature has pegged the thermometer at 130, or ~54C. My IR thermometer is registering surface temps on the joists and rafters at around 144F, or ~62C. God help the poor bastards
