there's a place in the world for the angry young man with his working class ties and his radical plans he refuses to bend, he refuses to crawl he's always at home with his back to the wall and he's proud of his scars and the battles he's lost he struggles and bleeds as he hangs on the cross and he likes to be known as the angry young man

maybe health physics. from talking to some health physics majors at my school, they dont use a lot of "hard math" compared to shit i do (physics major). they do a coop as part of their program so they also avoid a high level physics course like QM, etc. a friend of mine did an internship at Geisinger, treating cancer patients, he enjoyed it but working with terminal cancer patients was, for him, depressing. i also know several people who have done internships at PPL and Exelon Nuclear plants. General consensus was that the Techs get paid to sit around haha. i heard that Exelon has some nice perks like paying for your masters and phd. http://www.hps.org/documents/Salary_Survey_2009.pdf Looks like you can go a lot of different ways there, and making some good money. I'll have to do some more research, thanks for the link. HP positions at nuke plants are a nice gig; hell any job inside the protected area of a nuke plant is generally a nice gig

Shits changing from the past eh? I know plenty of engineers who actually work in the field repairing things as well as in factories. The unfortunate part is, you will probably also be managing as well. Check with your engineering department (UA?) and see if they are industry partners with any of the nearby power generating stations, like Palo Verde or Childs-Irving. You might be able to get an internship. Plenty of hands on engineering opportunities in an industrial facility, and we'll always need electricity so its (relatively) secure.

I'm not sure if this was directed towards me or not. I was just saying I read about that Juke and thought it was an interesting idea for Nissan to try to make a supercar using that platform. It's pretty ugly, but a somewhat ballsy venture IMO. pointed towards whatever the hell Skar thread people are talking about, actually

might have to get an amplifier too though...hmmm....just how many TV's can you get off one aerial?
-
it would give us a reason to construct an aerial, however

this fox/directv spat is amusing

Apparently Nissan is proud of putting big power and performance into ugly ass cars; they're 2 for 2 so far

You wouldn't like where I went to school then. 3 days is a long time for an 8 pager. x2 <<<<< never wrote an 8 pager We used to write 2500-3000 word papers every 2 weeks in one semester. And my 55 page diploma project was written in about 10 days... wow, so was that required to graduate? Yup, 50 page minimum. And the 10 minute presentation was worth more than the paper + actual project. Hour presentation for mine and another hour to defend it One of a couple reasons I went to business school rather than engineering; projects were never more than 10 pages minimum, 45 minutes to present, maybe a half hour to defend, distributed amongst 5 people.
