Any of your eastern or midwest USA guys ever notice any db difference in the freezing winter months? Id be interested to know any different readings Ive always noticed bass sounds much better during the summer months

i noticed the 2 guys who said they meter higher in the cold are located in tennessee. maybe your getting some of that southern humidity or reflecting off the mountains. it is interesting 2 me that air temperature and windows up/down, makes a noticable difference in bass loudness and quality im guessing that windows down is "louder" because your car turns into a port instead of a sealed up ride. i wonder with alot of watts (8k+), windows up or down dont really matter i notice that my max volume that sounds good is 4-6 lower with windows up i worry about my amps frosting internally and moisture developing when i warm up i agree that electrical works better in the cold, heat = resistance you guys ever notice the diff in the summer how the bass sounds b4 work compared 2 after work? humidity? its no secret that car audio is most popular in california and florida they probably enjoy it the most, lucky noobs any SQ guys notice anything or have some special setup for the winter months? some of the hoodlums i know totally unhook their subs in the winter

if you live in an area that is winterized right now that could be why its not so sticky have you tried feeling it at room temperature?

how clean is the metal for your ground? 60 amp fuse? the hifonics brz1200 fuse rating is 140 maybe its protecting? are your gains set correctly? clip too hard and that amp will protect

i thought the subsonic filter is filtering the output section, am i wrong? ive seen fi subs hooked to wall sockets for 7 minutes before they smoked on youtube i didnt think brz had it in em 2 do that kind of output without blowing up this thread makes me wanna get a colossus 3200 watts bridged and try 2 burp a 10k watt square wave too bad the colossus is banned if he sends the sub in and fi says it was factory error.... glazed donut shipped 44123 please, thanks Not the filtering he was talking about. There is filtering on the output terminals of the amplifiers to remove noise and other unwanted signal impurities created in the amplifier during operation. Can not compare hooking up a sub to a wall socket either. It could only be getting a couple hundred watts from the wall socket. thanks

2volt headunit vs 4volt headunit which is better? what are the benefits of a high voltage sub output? I currently have a 2v alpine that i'm thinking of replacing I'm thinking with my current setup that I can use a little more power but idk If i get a 4v, will i have 2 retune my amps? Will I end up just turning my amps down with a 4v, and have the same results as b4? Would it be better to put that money towards a big amp? (money is rare)

the closest car audio shop is nothing but salesman and ive never been 2 a car audio comp or heard a real system noone around me knows much everything i know ive read on forums online mostly smd
