    F**K Monoprice RCA's.

You gain 0 by spending more. I actually like the ones I just got from them, nice and thick case with a tight fit on the rca. That said I have not had them playing, but will next weekend and I will give a review when I do. OP: sorry about your trouble, but I happen to like that they fit really snug. X87675645345635856786978786786567... When you buy a RCA cable you are only paying for the looks and fit. Thats is all. The end. User error is why you had problems, not the cable itself. Some brands, you might be buying a warranty also and durability. You won't hear audible gains from one cable to another. Lifetime guarantee covers a lot but that doesn't justify spending stupid amounts of money on audio interconnects

    Mileage

Our work Silverado has like 260K + on it. Runs like a champ. It's been beat on too and still manages to work just fine

    Kevin S

With a little luck, this could be the next "Ben Milne Love Parade" for anyone who remembers CSO in all it's glory. I think that this should not be tolerated here on SSA. I am pretty understanding but I read this and it is ridiculous. Example: I stopped in at the shop I used to work at and heard the boss talking. Someone brought in a vehicle and had a Remote start system installed into their vehicle. Their instrument cluster went out days later. They came back since we had worked on the vehicle before this happened. Wiring was double, triple, quadruple checked etc. knowing that what we installed does not interact with anything gauge related. It was the conclusion of the car audio manager as well as all of the other installers that it was an issue clearly not caused by any of their work, but the boss bites the bullet anyways to keep good customer relations. I don't know but I have a feeling the dash instrument cluster for a 09-10 vehicle is easily over a measly $400. Hell, I replaced a the instrument on a 92 Cadillac and a used cluster was almost $400. Another time a customer accused me of breaking a side view mirror and I clearly didn't. It was wintertime and you could see salt build up inside the mirror and he still insisted that it was the fault of one of our installers. With us definitely not being in the wrong, the boss paid up. Basically what I am trying to get at is this: Pay Up. You are clearly in the wrong this time and the op has been out of this money for well over a month while you dick him around. I'm not the most frequent visitor here anymore but I am ashamed that something this bad has been tolerated so long. Op sorry for your troubles, I hope all is taken care of. Kevin, never planned on buying Skar and barely knew about it; same with your website. What i do know is this: I hope you and both your businesses fail in a big burning pile of shit! Sincerely Todd

    Shopping at American Eagle...

I use to follow GNC Motocross Nationals when I was a youngin. My setp dad and his brother raced a good bit, one year went to almost every national. That's the reason I wore fox then next thing I know it got cool. And now its just another brand. Nothing to do with racing. Just like DC has nothing to do with skating. I do like the idea of Ken Blocks Rally collection, plus its got Ford emblems everywhere. Its all marketing, and they are doing a damn good job of it. I remember when DC was strictly a skating brand. I had some awesome DC shoes back in the day. Now none of their stuff appeals to me that much.

    Subwoofer for the boat

JL audio makes the best marine speakers in my opinion. Had lots of good experience with them. I've used Kenwood marine speakers and had good luck with those also. This was a pretty budget friendly install and it's plenty loud for when you are out on the sandbars. Going to be adding an additional set of speakers in the front this coming summer.

    Shopping at American Eagle...

I used to like AE but not recently. Their jeans was mainly what I bought but I find those aren't as good as they used to be. The wear out so fast. I do like their shorts however still. Can't stand the Fruit of the loom or Haynes t shirts either. I hate a shirt whose collar stretches out. Stafford white tees from pennys are the best. IO like collars on my shirts so I stick to anything that looks nice and is comfortable.

    SICKEST SET-UP EVER!!!!!!!!! NASTY

Dude, chill. The man thought we would find this funny so he posted it, and it's pretty damn funny. I am very chill, I just find it pathetic to trash someone like that. You better be glad your not on SMD saying that. You would be banned. They can't deal with any criticism. But this is SSA, speak your mind. The way it should be. SMD is censored now? Never followed anything there anyways.

    Upgrade from a W6

The w6 is a great speaker as far as build, quality, and output. If you are dead set on getting a new sub, I'd go with the Q. What amp are you currently running and at what impedance. And how big is your enclosure and port tuning?

    Life Changes?

Never too late to make a positive change for yourself. I quit smoking, chewing, cut down on my party habits, and generally started to live a healthier life recently. I felt the same way for the longest time, having no idea what I was going to do with myself, but things started to fall into place when you point yourself in the right directions. More power to you and good luck. As long as you persevere, and have an optimistic outlook on any situation in life, you will be a better stronger person.

Help with Amp....JL and weird impedances

Stay with the JL for sure. That is a really good speaker and it has the JL Audio name on it so you know it's a good design and good product. (Disregard what people will try to say about JL Audio here or anywhere) As stated before, any 1 ohm stable or 2 ohm stable monoblock will work. You won't get full power output unless you get an amp that does the same power between 2 and 4 ohms.

    Shop Owners/Employees, what's up?!

Depends where you go. I worked at a great shop and they have been in business for 30+ years and 20+ in just car audio. Not all shops are as good as others. There is actually quite a few good shops within 50 miles of where I live(at least 5). All quality shops with good installers, good products, and good service. I buy local when I can. I'd rather stick money back into my community.

For all you bassheads out there

I found some great bassy music. Check out some Bassnectar. A customer at work got me turned onto this stuff. Its dubstep which is club music but it bumps.

    Alpine KTP-445

They work great when using in installs where space is a huge concern like in a motorcycle faring, but if you have the room and ability, I'd go with a real power amplifier. An amp is going to have more flexibility and power for a little more money and a little more work. Just my two cents though.
