I'd say that setup would be great!

You do have to keep in perspective that a ton of IA40.1's were used for SPL competition. Failure is the nature of the sport. People think that just because you can run an amp at .35 ohm for a burp with one battery that it can handle that daily, which in general is not the case......yes a few blew up, but not an abnormal amount when kept in perspective. So, no I would not say that we had a problem with them.
-
Guess I wasn't made aware of this problem? The 40.1's were tanks just like the 20.1's. The reason they were discontinued is so that we can go to the new slim 40.1 that we displayed at SBN.

Roughly 235 sq in of port in 17.5 cubes will be killer! I look forward to seeing this build!
-
Im guessing you are doing 2 21's? If so, those dimensions are perfect.

It was great meeting you! Hope you enjoy your new setup when you get it. Nice ride as well! sounded awesome when you rode by the show as you were leaving. -Josh

Why yes, we do have a competition team. If you would like to apply, click the first link and read, or download the second link which is a PDF and mail it back to us completed. http://www.incriminatoraudio.com/update/in...age=4&cat=6 http://www.incriminatoraudio.com/update/docs/IASponApp05.pdf

We can build it to do that

Heck, get a box for free made by audible customs........if hes still offering that, it would be silly not to!
-
If both subs would be using a 2.5 cu ft box, then the 12 would have a smoother response than the 15, however the 15 would likely be slightly louder.....so its really your call there. As far as power handling, I would buy the dual 4 ohm sub and run it at 2 ohms. You won't kill the sub with that much power, but do be careful, and as a rule of thumb, if you smell it, turn it down...lol. Oh and one more thing, if you aren't satisfied at first, keep playing it....it will get louder as it breaks in!!

one way.......

Since the Warden was released today, we decided to change the cover pic for the website...... www.incriminatoraudio.com

mounting depth is 5.75" for the 10

A single 12" LI on 600 watts RMS in a simple ported box will keep up with most front stages....even really good ones
-
Yes the coils are different, but they are both made of aluminum

The Flatlyne is what you will want if you are looking for a serious SQ competition subwoofer.
-
nice........u need more power!

I had a pair of 187 12's and beat them to death daily (I loved them!!)..........I now have a pair of LI 15's and love them too Hope you enjoy the shirt!

Is IA ever going to make an affordable small(er) amp?
ia2 replied to AirFramerMack's topic in Incriminator Audio
Yep......IA10.1 will be 900@1ohm rms, but you know how we rate things -
The IA DP is not purely for SPL though................actually Steve Cook is running 2 - 18" Death Penalty's in his SQ Avalanche. But it also does 155+db when cranked on lol Either sub would be a great choice I'm sure, just wanted to clear the air on the SPL subject
-
That is an option, yes, but do so at your own discretion. Be sure you have fully upgraded your electrical system and make sure you don't smell burning voice coil while you are playing it.

Every thread you make is full of win!
