Precision Power makes decent amps. People need to quit knocking them so much. You can definitely find a better woofer brother. -
Gcon all the way brother. I know this guy at my school that has one and it is one damn impressive driver.

What are you looking for in your setup is the main question. Do you prefer active or passive setups? Have you tried them both before? -
The woofers are beasts. Do not be afraid to push them.

I have never heard of carver and by scored do you mean that you won them? -
Why don't you research and figure it out yourself instead of getting all butt hurt about the situation?

Woofer break in is as much of a myth as running Rcas separate from other wires

So this the story guys. I "supposedly" have 2 DC level 3 15s dual 4s and am currently running maybe 500 rms total. I set gains with a dd1 and everything is set the way it should be. Crossovers have also been properly set for my application. These subs apparently have no cooling capability whatsoever has I can hear the dust cap rattling from too much heat.... I pucking hate these things and don't know why I bought them. Any suggestions on if I am wired at the amp wrong? I am wired at 4 ohms total load right now but I don't know. I have a precision power black ice 1800d and I heard the wiring for this amp is a little different? Any help would be appreciated Sincerely, Mlcantin

If the dust cap is rattling then it is a glue failure not a heat build up issue. Are you actually getting output from the subs at all? yes I can play them for about two minutes fine and then the rattling starts to kick in. I wouldn't call it rattling as much as I would say it sounds like a hammer hitting the dustcapWhere is your ssf set? (If you have one) Kinda sounds like bottoming out. Maybe? Iv had plenty of subs without cooling and never had noise. Heat yes but it doesn't Seem like heating up would cause it to make a lot of noise. But I have set ssf to low in the past and had knocking sounds. 20 hertz but I don't play anything that low anyways -
