  1. I may not have the same size system you have but I am not an idiot
  2. Yes but i don't think you understand what i am saying
  3. I know that but i mean in just taking off the stock alt thats what the manual said
  4. Meh. When I was talking about my relay years ago I was told it was worthless, but I already had it so I installed it anyways. The thought is so that when your car is off, and alternator is not running, the relay will stop the batteries from trying to charge each other if there is a voltage difference between the two. Even if this happens, it's not catastrophic; as long as one of your batteries doesn't have extremely low voltage. It does. You can either run a wire from the positive terminal on the starting battery to the positive terminal on the extra battery, or just run another wire from the alternator to the extra battery. I chose the second option. Alright thanks man for all the help. I just need to install one so i don't have to break the bank to buy expensive batteries all the time
  5. Does anyone on here know how to install one. I need direction. Sincerely, Matthew
  6. Then they wrote it completely wrong lol
  7. I think the manual is wrong I am just trying to state how fault maunfacturers are Quote exactly how it is stated in the manual, or post a picture of it :)/> I do all of the work on my car. From changing oil to electrical upgrades and I am getting a singer alt soon. My jeep is old technology (cherokee) so alts are taken off differently. The manual said when taking off alternator disconnect alternator wire from negative battery terminal....
  8. I think the manual is wrong I am just trying to state how faulty manufacturers are
  9. Jeep manual says different. It says alternator wire to battery negative terminal.
  10. And i thought the alternator wire connects direct to the starting battery of the car?
  11. This solution is muhc better than just having two batteries connected without an isolator right?
  12. I made a wording error. I am going to be buying an isolator
  13. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_46583_NVX-BIR500.html What kind of automatic isolator is this? Solenoid or Diode based isolator?
  14. I don't understand this. It is currently jibberish to me. Research seems to be neccesary but do you know of a video that shows how to install one? I looked on youtube and couldn't find a video.

  17. How am i supposed to control the volume on the head unit if i plug the ipod directly into the amp? I wont have any volume control
  18. Just ordered the rca aux cable. I will see what the problem is in a few days
  19. No you are not a retard it is probably me that is a retard and it is really ticking me off.
  20. New finding which i find bizarre and doesnt make any sense to me. So i checked the ohm reading on my subwoofer. Each voice coil read two ohms which is correct because it is a 4 ohm subwoofer. Then I checked the wiring by checking the ohm reading on the in box speaker wire connections. It read 2 ohms which is good. Then I check the ohm reading for the speaker wiring running from the outside of the box connections to the amp and it read 16 kilo ohms and kept rising up and up. This makes absolutely no sense to me and I tried it on both aforementioned amps. I am becoming seriously frustrated as my system was acting fine until this morning.
