all any one needs to know is that second skin is superior to dynamat in all aspects and i can vouch from personal experience with using dynamat in my car and hearing SS in nick morgans truck. the difference would lead people to believe that there was not even an ounce of deadener in my car

well now i realized im going to have to change my box design but no one was offering to help anyways so i didnt bother posting what changed. Now i have 24 x 35 x 16 to work with. The sub and port are going to both have to be upfiring and the box will be used for daily driving. -

alrighhtttyy guys.... i got a different build that i need some help with because i realized the two SPL15s had a slim chance of working out =[. I'm putting a ascendant audio mayhem 18" in the trunk of a 01 chrysler sebring sedan. The sub is going to be front firing and im just going to keep the back seats down (when i put them up for people to sit in them i will just cut the subs off). The trunk is pretty flat and the box should be pretty easy to load in from the car with the seats folded down. I have L29 x W34 x H18 to work with. for you who dont know a mayhem is essentially a loaded BTL. -

alrighhtttyy guys.... i got a tricky build that i need some help with. I'm putting two SPL-15s in the trunk of a 01 chrysler sebring sedan. The subs are going to front firing and im just going to keep the back seats down (when i put them up for people to sit in them i will just cut the subs off). The trunk is pretty flat and the box should be pretty easy to load in from the car with the seats folded down. I have L29 x W34 x H18 to work with, Im guessing both subs will be put in one chamber. Im open to either slot or tube ports, just need help coming up with a design. All of the parameters are here. I appreciate it alot and please help a fellow forumer out =] -
the way you are sounding you should go for the BLs with out a doubt, but i think id look elsewhere for amps besides MTX and the PCA series for soundstream.

good luck and hopefully after you get back my sub will be good to go.

hey man.... thanks so much for all of your help these last couple of weeks and how nice/cool you've been about everything. sorry about your loss and we all understand how important it is that you be with your family and friends right now. talk to you sometime soon man, take it easy

Nope sub was not dropped, motor isnt shifted. Its really frustrating. It literally wasnt rubbing one day and was the next, this is honestly the kind of luck I have. I'll have to call Scott and just send the damn thing to him to go over it. Thanks again for help.(no sarcasm intended) seeing as your new and dont have too many posts and ford302redneck is a little bit more established and wasnt trying to center you out or be mean.... i would try and be a little bit more respectful. hes just trying to help you, dont post for help and then get smart when some one makes a suggestion. besides, you obviously arent too much of a regular or else you would realize people do indeed do VERY stupid stuff so you would understand why hes just trying to make sure you press on the center of the dust cap or if you dropped it.

id go for a 18" fully loaded BL in its optimal ported enclosure

you defintly need all of the options if you plan on using 4kw and a huge electrical system backbone. the reason they say not to get cooling if your using it for SPL scenarios is because it machines cooling channels into the motor there fore losing motor mass there fore losing acceleration and power. but you NEED that cooling if its daily, you can get by without the cooling if used for competition because its just short periods of time and you get the added motor mass
