from what I've read, and read... and read: It will not need 1300wrms. Give it 800-1000wrms (as per nick) and you'll be (more than) happy

SSA teaser pics of 8" driver
subwoofery replied to Mark LaFountain's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Have you found the name for the new line yet? What about "SSA Mammoth"? -
Just for your information, the 13Av.2 is now in stock http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.p...products_id=554 Guess we'd have to wait for the first non-biased review from one member of this forum.

Thanks for the clarification guyz

Ohh crap... Why are you doing this??? Was waiting for some RL-i8's, but now I don't know what to do... Waiting is never fun Any info that you guyz can leak? motor topology, surround and dustcap material? -
I would like to have more information on that statement. Is perceived loudness something that the mind controls? like 50Hz@125dB seems louder than let's say [email protected]??? Call me stupid but I just want to learn lol

RL-i's better be on the way . Been waiting since September 2oo7 to get my hand on some 8"

Not trying to defend anyone. (never had an eD product) Stealing ideas is part of the industry (Nick might correct me on that lol) You see a good idea, you either use it (patent to be paid) or go around it. - MTX stealing Kicker's square subs idea - Memphis and JL Audio stealing Alpine's stackable amp idea - JL Audio stealing Image Dynamics' Ultralong voice coil idea Only really good companies still try to find ideas on their own.

"Its a bird, it's a plane... no it's SUPER MAG!!!!!"

Sorry but in your first post, you meant YELLOW top instead of RED top right?

More infos here: http://cgi.ebay.com/6-x-9-XS-69-Image-Dyna...6.c52.m20.l1116

You could always replace your stock 6x9 by some quality ones: http://www.imagedynamicsstore.com/idstore/...7f4db667f8f35d9 I believe this set comes with silk tweeter also. Might have to check them out.

2 x 15" will also save you space on the box (usually).

Fi Q15... not much excursion, why? (videos and pics)
subwoofery replied to themerc's topic in Fi Technical
I was about to ask about the subsonic filter also... Not questionning your knowledge, just happen to be one thing we forget about... sometimes... -
Don't fire me but I think that instead of using a ten, You could use the new midbass from Audiopulse 8" http://www.audiopulse.com/products/components/rmb Xmax 10mm -- 200w RMS -- SPL 91.3 -- FS 42Hz Just not sure from the specs if it'll work in IB config. Just my 2 cents

Hey guyz, I know that different cones have differents advantages and drawbacks: - strength - lightness - ease of use But what I am wondering is what kind of "sound" (metallic, warm, etc...) do those have - subwoofer cones by the way. For example, hemp, kevlar, aluminum, titanium, threated paper, and so on... Thanks Kelvin

Ok, back to the game... When for the car audio build log? KIDDIN'

There are more infos once you register: - Price said to be for the tweets/mid/midbass combo = retail price USD3,500 - One bit processor = retail price USD650 - therefore for the price I believe it will be much more appealing than the 3Sixty.2(USD699) or the Clean Sweep combo (USD500)

Hi guyz, As usual, I like browsing through forums and I came across one thread about new items from Audison shown @ CES: http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/forums...mp;#entry927565 You guyz might need to register to the forum first to view pics of: - New Audison Thesis 2 / 4 / monoblock amps - New Audison Thesis Bit One processor - New Audison Thesis speaker line Enjoy! Kelvin

Same here, can't wait to see more specs about them. From what I've heard, the Bit One shouldn't be that expensive.

Just register and you'll be able to read the thread

Just checked the power handling, you are correct, they changed it on the website. HOWEVER, They need to upgrade their charts for the recommended power use. Or people will think that JL is crazy to rate their woofer in the danger/warranty void zone.

It all depends on what you need: LOUD LOUD SOUND: 13w7 in a ported alignment. LOUD LOUD SQ: RL-s 12 will only be worth it in a sealed alignment.

Click to learn about the new Mag
subwoofery replied to Electrodynamic's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
**Nick** I was just wondering whether you could make a summary of the technology used in the new mag plz... If I remember correctly: - XBL^2 - shorting ring - shallow mount 5.5" - copper-coated pole piece - 1000RMS - 0.8-1.0sealed // 1.5ported What else? Tall surround to increase sd?
