Hello, Being a cautious guy, I would like to buy a home alarm for my appartment. Which brand would you recommend? What features should I be looking at? Thanks a lot for your help guyz, Kelvin

Depending on the speakers you get/make, some speakers work best when they are far from each other.

I'd recommend Hybrid Audio Technology @ http://www.lmfaudio.com/index.php?cPath=36_49

Audison Or Focal
subwoofery replied to Yanks Fan's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Same here, would choose Audison because they have been in the amplifier industry for MUCH longer than focal. Not saying anything bad about them. -
Could you tell me more about your setup please? Regarding the 4x10" and the 1x15". Playing different frequencies? or just using one setup for comp and one for daily driving. Also which brand and model... thankx
-
Well they also do 15"

Try to look into Soundsplinter, Mach 5 Audio, Ascendant Audio, FI Car Audio - they all have 18" subs. Incriminator Audio has 18" and 21". Hope that helps, Kelvin

What ///M5 is saying: K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid... By choosing 1 good pair of tweeter (even horn), 1 good pair of midrange, and maybe 2 good pairs of midbass // EVERYTHING mounted up front. I'm sure you won't have any problem filling music into your entire car. If you're scared not to have enough, look at Image Dynamics Ultra Horn. Should be a good starting point. Hope that helps, Kelvin

Using dogs is a good idea but I live in an appartment and don't want to have a dog living inside. But when I'll get a house, sure thing, I'll get one. Do you have specific brands that I should look at?

Any update? -
Hi, Just advising that Acoustic-Visions is closing down in about 2 weeks. Sent a message to Kyle regarding a subwoofer. And he told me that he was closing down. So I believe it is accurate. Might be starting a new company... who knows. Kelvin

Hello, sorry not for responding earlier but I was away. Went to the website and I can see that you represent great companies. I apologize for not bringing it up earlier but I live overseas. So I was mostly looking for a DIY kind of installation. Monitoring is not necessary for me. Unless you can just provide the equipment and instruction manual on how to install and operate. I am interested. Please e-mail me with details if that is the case... also pricing. Thank you for your quick response. Kelvin

As per M5's quote, extended cab don't have much space to work with... BUT... I would suggest you to buy another Q10 instead of a Q12 and try to fit it (if possible). 2xQ10 will give you the impedance you need to run, more lows (at least twice as loud, almost tripple) and as nick was stating in a previous post: running 2 subs @ half power VS 1 sub @ full will give you a more controlled sound, stressing the sub less. Hope that helps.

You're planning to sell Soundsplinter gloves??? I'm in, need a pair anyway

Hi all, I know the minimum for car audio but regarding HT setups, I'm a real newbie First of all, I want to understand some concepts: - what is the use of a pre-amp? - what is the use of a AV receiver? Only for 5.1? - is an AV receiver an integrated amplifier for 5.1? (stupid question I know lol) - what "cartridges" do? - are surround soud processors necessary? I'm pretty much set on some components for a 5.1 setup: *Blu-ray Player: PlayStation 3 *Projector: Panasonic AE2000U *Front Floor-standing Speakers: Gallo Reference 3 (pair) *Front integrated amp: PrimaLuna Prologue 2 *Center Speaker: Gallo Reference Center *Side Speaker: Gallo Reference Du

Hey guyz, Been reading about Emotiva and it seems to be better than Outlaw Audio for the price. (based on most reviews). Do you guyz know much about them? Any experience with them? Thankx

For 2xE8 in a sealed 0.8cuft, what would be the thermally, what would be the power handling?
