    Team introductions for IAK

Yeah, this past weekend was Carl Casper and a bunch of us rolled down to it. I'll be putting up a intro/build when the SA8's get here. I've, or rather Mike (DD9915), has got a build log started. We're waiting for the box and amp rack/false floor to get sprayed and the SA8's to finish it all up.

    new from tx

    Welcome
  6. Well, I was going to order it friday but uncle sam didn't get my money in my checking account yet It actually works out a little better though because I may have a hook up for a better price. I'm hoping my guy can get it sometime in the next couple weeks while I'm waiting for my SA8's to ship.

    Sundown SA-8 Pre-Sale

    You would be correct sir!
  8. I voted other---Pioneer has just released the AVH-P4200DVD which is the newer version of the 4100. The MSRP for it is $550 but Crutchfield has it for $499.99 shipped. I am a little biased though as it is the headunit that I'm planning on grabbing soon

    will it be worth it?

I would say try the new enclosure before you get the amp. I've heard 2-L7's off 300w each in a nice ported enclosure and they get pretty loud for the power. You can always upgrade the amp later.....after you make sure your electrical is capable of handling your amp choice. Of course all the advice given is just a guess considering we don't know the vehicle type, electrical, amount of space you have to work with, or goals.

    SSA welcomes Team IAK

I want to start out by thanking Mark and Aaron for allowing us this opprotunity. Everyone in the IAK family is excited to continue learning and sharing with all the SSA members. Along with myself, there will be other members putting some build logs up shortly. I know that every team member will be encouraged to participate in the forum and be a positive addition overall. Thanks again

    ChicagoFans box 4 SA8s i his Escape

Right on Mike, you da man! Now I'm even more sad that the 8's release got pushed back I'll be closing the holes up in the spring/summer and ordering some more stuff (MLV & CCF) from Don @ sound deadener showdown. I'm in the process of eventually changing the guages, temp controls, and window/door lock switches to blue from the factory green along with ordering a Pioneer AVH-P42000DVD when it's released.
