UPDATE: a new box is gonna be built but I still want to use aeros(PSP) for the "look". I haven't got with my guy that is building the box yet but I wanted to run this by some forum members first. I am still thinking of a 5 cu net enclosure using 3 of the 4" psp's tuned to 33hz which would be 37.68" (7.53" per) of port area. This is much closer to the recommended area (12"-16") of port per the general rule of 56% (6.72-8.96) when using aeros. I am hoping to have this ironed out by 3pm before we start another box. I would like to know what the disp. of a 4" aero at full length would be so that I can accurately account for it if anyone would do the math for me Thanks again to stealth for catching the mistake!

They areos are actual PSP's so we'll see how things go. I may have another box on standby if this one doesn't work out.

Well, thanks for the help fellas. As of right now the box is built so I guess I'll throw em in and give a listen once I get the 8's. If it ends up sounding like garbage I'll probably just have a slot port enclosure done instead.

Wow! Thanks Duran, I was hoping this topic didn't get pulled too far off track. I will admit that my patience is a little worn right now but I understood that it may take longer than expected when I ordered. I've been without subs since early Nov. and it's killing me. I realize that Jacob will post something as soon as he has updates. That doesn't change the fact that I'm excited to have them as soon as possible. I'm not bitching, getting bent out of shape, crying, or attacking stealth......just stating my personal facts concerning the subject. I am still hoping to have these in my vehicle sometime in this next week

I'm really diggin the new look twist on mikey's original IAK design! I was thinkin maybe we can get something done as far as a banner goes in time for Slamology I seen those DC's today also and they are feakin beasts!! All I could do was stare at the lvl5 and think my little 8's would look somewhat similar. No subs is makin chucky a sad sad man. I let my LI's go way way to soon
