Here is the pic of the amp that I used to sell the amp on Ebay. Really gets the point across on how big the amp really is. Just for reference, Hallie is 24" long in the picture:)

Peteyglad replied to djjdnap's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
I just hit the local used record places and binge through their $1 cd's. That is where I get my best finds. -
And here is one of the town. Notice how all the side streets are still there. There are still houses here, but not many.

And here is one of the signs that are scattered all over

Why Thank you:) I like my 15's.

Looks pretty bad ass. How much was the sub?

My buddy anted to order a pair for IASCA stock 0-160 but was told they weren't out. So he settled with the 12" Extremes and is very happy with them. Posted a 143.7 on the new Termlab with them.

I like the idea of the CEA 2006. It is not the cure all for power ratings, but it is a step in the right direction. You can at least compare amps with this seal together and get a good indication of how they will perform compared to each other.

How are the subs pointing on the seat compared with the SUV? If the subs were faced toward he hatch on the SUV and pointed toward the front in the car that might be a problem also. You may be getting a lot of cancellation. I would just leave the subs in the trunk and sound deaden everything.

Very nice! I aspire to have a nice clean system sometime. For now I will have to be content with the jumble of wires in my trunk:) Once again, sweet install.

I saw it on the site but according to a local dealer they are not out yet. Just trying to figure it out:)

15" STroker vs a 15" Jugg
-
Strokers are pretty decent SPL drivers, even in todays standards. Here are a few pics of my old 15" 2 ohm DVC model. The first one is the sub (very top of pic) in my car (highest was a 147.9 on a tough AC meter). The next are a couple pics next to my 15" Juggernaut. The Jugg and the Stroker were about the same SPL, but the box wasn't built for either of them. OOps:)

Its not official yet, but look what I found

I must admit that I haven't seen that pic before, but I am guessing there may have been a flaw somewhere such as a pinched cord, or maybe sticking the sensor in a port. Where are they ging to have remote sensors? Now wires to pinch. Sounds logical to me. -

The sub is from 1995. It was one of the first true 1000 RMS subs. It weighs in at a hefty 35 pounds. Not bad for a sub that old! It came with a 99 year warranty but unfortuately after the company died so did the warranty. I actually tried to get a blown sub replaced by contacting Kove but their owner Gary Kovener said they bought the Hart name and nothing else. So I guess I have to fork over the $70 + shipping to send it to CA to get reconed. It is a great sub. At a local comp we did a 141.0 with it in the trunk of a Saturn with 400 watts. Not too shabby.

Not sure exactly. I know the name Fultron appears on some of their stuff though.

Finally registered here agin. Would love to stay and chat but unfortunatley I do not get on the computer that much anymore. Hopefully I can post about once a week, but don't hold me too it:)

Memphis is very good stuff. The store I work at sells it as their main line. We have done quite a few nice systems with Memphis with the last one being priced at $7,000, and that is after discounts. Memphis is a great company because they have so many different products they can fill just about every need from budget (Depth Charge) to the mid grade (Power Reference) to the insane (Mojo amps and LVS subs). They make probably the best budget sub in the Power Reference Line. We sell the 12's for $85 a pop. Our other install had a Power Reference 10 in a prefab Memphis box getting 150 watts of a Memphis ST150 and he hit a 138.8 in the trunk of his car on a Linear X! Now that is saying something for a $75 sub and not very much power. The Mojo subs are def. gaining in popularity in part to Shaker and Team Baldman (USACi record holders). The subs are decently priced as far as SPL subs go. The 15" Quad coil goes for around $550. They can handle tons of power for burps and they do get quite loud. You may not have heard of Memphis, but they were also known as Fultron a few years ago. Same company just a new name.
