That is cool. Congrats Axe.

Plus one. Half the battle is the enclosure. Put those things in a nice box and they will shine.

Ship FPO/APO.

Thanks Aaron, no worries.

I'm traveling throughout Japan right now, so for me nothing is cooking. Just eating some of the best sushi you can imagine, with an excellent choice of sake.

Did you weigh all these subs yourself or is that what the shipping label said? This was shipped weight taken right off the labels from postal.
-
Bring on the vids Axe. Surely you've been in there bumping the Cons
-
I also like the idea of the Icon as Shogen mentioned. I had two ported in my 05 BMW 745i and they did very well. They were my first SSA subs.

good amp for two fi bl 15s?

Get the Crescendo bc3500d and run it at .5. You could save some coin and go crescendo bc2000d x2 and strap them for 4k @2 ohm. -
2 SSA Xcon 10s

I ordered the MLA module and a Pioneer AVH-P8400BH. Stay tuned.

No worries AgentTyler we should be seeing orders soon. I can understand the frustration, in a few days we will be going on a 4 month wait. You may want to PM Aaron if you plan to cancel. I can't cancel as I actually need the sub to complete my build. Somehow things got a little screwed up, but SSA has hopefully got it sorted. I will PM Aaron in a few and see what's going on.

I received a few orders awhile back. The Zcon 12 was 64 lbs, the Zcon 15 was 68 lbs, and the Xcon 15 was 58 lbs. This included the packing material which included the plywood and 2x4 studs that prevent the subs from moving around/shifting. I'd really like to know exact shipping weight of the SSA Evil 15, since military postal weight limit is 72 lbs.

Actually having remote based personnel could be a great solution to the issues. That would have a person in a different time zone which could be a benefit to the service itself. A person could dial into a network via VPN tunneling, access sales records and build updates then assist customers, etc. It works for us at John Deere. Just a thought. I've heard FI product and like it from what I saw /reviewed. Keep it up. Just wanted to chime in on the CS issue.

Inside the wall or along the base board using a raceway. http://www.diynetwork.com/how-to/how-to-hide-wiring-behind-baseboard-or-installing-a-raceway/page-2.html

What subs were used in it? Would 4 Xcons play well in this enclosure?
-
Awww man, sucks to see that Crescendo go. What amps will you be using with the Sundown? GLWTS man.

D3400 under the hood, D3100 as secondary. -
Nice mini review. They will hit even harder once they break in a little more. I have to start over when I get my Xcons here, since I've been running those Zcons. I'm almost going to hate to give them back. Had some Japanese guys hear them and they were in shock, so that should amount to a few sales with SSA product. Other than that man, put some videos up, would like to see that set up you running. Sounds wicked in there.

This is a perfect opportunity for you to go bigger if you wanted. You could put her on the Q and upgrade. If you are happy, Gcon or Icon could be fun.

I just put my second 12 in on only 1300 rms for the pair and I am thrilled with the performance! Sounds beast mode, still waiting on my Xcon man. I can tell you that those Zcons I'm using slam on 4K strapped. The bass is intense in there. Going to exchange head units , and also install a MLA module to get little higher voltage.

Ordered the Pio AVH-P8400BH 2 Din Deck and the MLA module. Hoping the Pio is a solid performing HU and does pretty good for me with the Ipod connection. Anyone here using one? Price I got was 475.00 new from Crutchfield with free priority shipping. Also ordered the MLA module from Missing Link, to help with my voltage maxing at 13.8. Would love to see it go up in the 14.8-15.1 range, should be good for my 3 D3400s. My EA Alt is installed and sitting at constant 13.8-14.1 so I know it's the car limiting the charging range. Should be fun playing when I get back from business. Hopefully my second sub will be there when I get back from business, and all should be good.

How are those subs performing for you Axe?

HO Alt Question
R3dt34rz replied to R3dt34rz's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
i'm going to try one of MLA modules and go from there. -
I just installed my EA HO Alt and this thing is performing very well. Limiting factor with installing it is the factory limiter at 14.1 volts. I spoke with Nate and he said in order to get the most out of it 14.8 -15 volts I would have to return it so he could adjust the regulation and then run it using the external regulation. No big deal, but my question is this. How much of a difference would my system notice running at 14.8 volts than at 14.1 volts? I'm thinking it should be minimal, but I wanted to ask others and get some input. Thanks.
