Most definitely agree with you on this. I will definitely keep supporting the SSA movement. Good group of peeps for sure.

Yep still waiting here for my last sub from SSA. The others have arrived just waiting on my Dec order. I would love to try a pair of Evils, but at this point I may wait until around summer. Yes it's worth the wait, but some specific order updates would be nice until the item is shipped especially with a backlog.

Are you military? If so SSA ships to military no problem. If you are military I would suggest apobox.com for a free stateside address.

Got up with Nate over at Excessive Amperage and he received the spare alt I sent in for rebuild. Should be looking at about 250amps when he's done with it. Out here in Japan something like that is like $1000.00 easy.

Done until I get back from business.

A couple pics of the work in progress. Pulling wire My buddy hooking up the battery box and amp board Crescendo BC2Ks stacked Sub amps and 4 chan amp fuses boxes mounted up 4 chan board made and tested for fitment Amps wired up and set to go. Everything is hooked up now, and ready to go. Going to add a few more bits here and there but for now its all hooked up. I ran out of wire so I need a tad more from Knukon. On top of that I had an Autopage alarm installed, so its been a busy weekend. So the wait for batteries and a second xcon continue until I return from Korea.

Alright been working at this the last the three days. Still got some small things to do like install my rear batteries. Long story short ordered XS power through Cruthfield with free shipping on the 8th and they still have yet to arrive. Said screw the wait and ordered directly through Amazon and they should be here end of the week. I was able to get my wires ran, ended up running 2 sets of 0 awg. Was a tad bit short on the knu wire so I ordered some more. Once I get the batteries installed I will the excess wires in the batt box and move the Toolmaker terminals to the batteries. I have to give credit to my buddy in Japan Maki-san for putting the battery box and amp board together. I'm getting ready for a trip to Korea so I will finish up everything once I get back. Hoping my second Xcon will show up soon.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing -
Build looks like it's coming along well man. Another vote for staying focused in college. I'm an EE for John Deere currently running sales and service for Asia Pacific. School will definitely pay off bro.

WIRING KIT?
R3dt34rz replied to njanowsky's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I'm in the middle of an install right now using the Knukon stuff. It is very good wire, flexible and pretty thick stuff. I'm running two runs of 0 awg for my amps to a second battery. Go with the KnuKon, it's worth it. -
Crescendo BC3500d at 1 ohm should be plenty. I would suggest beefing up the electric by Big 3, and couple batteries in the rear if you don't have it yet.

Introducing the all new SSA Evil!
R3dt34rz replied to Mark LaFountain's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Damn they look beast mode. Nice sub for sure. -
I think I read somewhere that Gcons went out, so I'm guessing they are working Icons now. Afterward the Xcons then ZS, but again I'm guessing. Hoping SSA can give us some updates.

I'm doing a van install and decided on 2Xcon 15s. If you are good on the price I think 2 12s would do your Chrysler just fine.
-
Along with you. Waiting on an Xcon ordered Dec 2nd.
-
Let's see some video bro. Nice enclosure also. I almost went AQ HD3s/4s but chose the Xcons instead. Still would like to see some video in action.
-
I would go with the SSA subs also. Should be cheaper than the JL Audio stuff with better performance. As for the enclosure I'm sure you could have one built for cheap, plenty of guys here that could probably do it for you. As for amp AQ 1200D should be good bang for buck and plenty of clean power. http://audioque.com/Q1-1200D-Amplifier_p_30.html

As for the electrical I'm still waiting on a few things. I bought a second alternator from a parts broker out of Tokyo for around 60.00 I packed it up and it is enroute to Excessive Amperage as of yesterday. I reached out to DC, Ohio Gen, and a few others. Nate seemed really cool, so I'm hoping he can do something for me. I know that 70a alternator won't do the trick with something like this. I'm shooting for at least 200a-250a (if I'm lucky) so we will see. So thats it for right now. Still waiting on more stuff to come in. New 4 chan amp, the second battery, terminals , HO alt and I should be good to go. Give me some input fellas, thanks.

I did a test run to make sure the subs fit. Now the waiting game
