i dunno if this is an option for you but i have a reg cab s-dime and i have plenty of room, im doing a custom center console for one ported 12" d2 i have to take out the 60/40 seats and put in some cheap seats i got from a junk yard but i dont care, its all abt THE bass its not gonna look too good at first but itll wang just my 2 cents, maybe u can get some ideas Tom

I just had an idea on a sub enclosure for my 2002 reg cab s10..... what im thinking is to take out both seats and make an enclosure shaped like a bench seat (with cushion and carpet covering it) with a sub firing backwards behind where each seat was or maybe one firing backwards in the middle i havent worked out any details yet but i need opinions, because i dunno how safe this would be, say if i got into an accident or even if i could make a box sturdy enuf to support myself and other ppl Now, time for you guys to either tell me how stupid it is(cuz it might very well be lol) or gimme some help designing it!! any pros or cons would help!! not soo much i dont think, i mean basically its just -bracing -carpet/foam -and a way to attatch it can you think of nething else? also, i just took a VERY rough measurement and i have (surprisingly) almost 9 cubes to work with so i have alot of options Thanx guys keep em comin! Tom

You all helped me to design my box for the magnum to go in my reg cab s10. While im savin up money im still exploring my options and for abt the same price i was i could go these two directions..... -2 re se 12s getting 600 watts a piece (dunno which amp yet) with 1.0 cubes a piece before displacement OR -a single 12" magnum d2 in a 2.65^3 box before displacements tuned to 28hz using two 4"x40.5" aero ports powered by a jl 500/1 now, I was just wondering you guys' overall opinion btwn the two any and all comments/suggestions/help would be appreciated! so do u think the mag ould out perform the 12s if i had 1200 watts goin to it rather than 500? Thanx Tom

the only thing i already have is the 500/1, im just lazy and didnt wanna get sumtin new til later lol now, if the re setp was the same but i was pushin 1200 watts on the mag instead of 500, which would you guys prefer?? Thanx Tom

SQ is not too important to me as long as they dont sound like complete crap and i know both setups would probably satisfy my SQ needs also,how much of an spl edge do you think they would be? thanx for the quick input! Tom

which would be louder and which would be more accurate between.... 1 12" d2 in a ported box to specs with a jl 500/1 or 2 12" d2s sealed with the 500/1 any help or comments would be appreciated! thanx Tom

as said b4 im somewhat of a newb to car audio with some pretty good knowledge but no hands on experience, so a few questions abt wiring..... how should i wire the 500/1 to the d2, ive tried to tech myself through car audio websites with no luck, a link or just some tips would be great! thanx Tom

this is my first real post, so here goes... i am saving money for my 1st system and im lookin to do it right the 1st time ive looked at rf,re, and anything in between and now my intereststs have landed on the 12" magnum d2 i am currently workin on a custom center consol in my 2002 s10 REG CAB, so my options are limited now for the questions: 1. what kind of volume/tuning would be good for like a 60/40 or 70/30 spl/sq setup? 2.what amp would match up with that setup nicely? 3. yall are gonna hate me for this one but....how does it compare to a 12w7 in the same box/amp setup? i understand this is alot for one post but im a complete newb to the magnums, so any info/suggestions/help/comments/etc. would be helpful thanx Tom

oooooooo i see, i never knew that, that makes my life much easier! ok so, last questions -can i make the box any dims as long as its approx 2 cubes? -does it matter if the sub and ports are on the same side of the box? -can the ports turn in any direction inside the box that i want? -should i attache the port to the inside walls to keep it from coming apart? sorry for so many questions but i wanna get all the info i can now that ive found such a knowledgable person! thanx Tom

i want the SQ so that tuning should be just fine but what would the dims be if i were to slot port it cuz theres no way i can get 40.5" no matter which way i face it, keep in mind this will be in a custom center consol of a reg cab s10 PS lemme just say , im soooo impressed by everyones knowledge and helpfulness on this forum, not to mention that there is no one (that ive seen so far) that comes on here just to bash people's ideas, ive only seen ppl that are helpful thanx again Tom
