i knew you would be in here sometime to say its not, im just saying it resemelbs something simliar sir. It doesn't though. Either way if your happy with it then that's all that matters. Digging the port area. i have used this deisgn before and had good output and they sound good so im happy with whatever it is.

    t-line for the jl's

i knew you would be in here sometime to say its not, im just saying it resemelbs something simliar sir. Actually I am really curious where the misinformation on T-lines comes from on the internet and how you could "design" a t-line that looked like that. I looked to see what I could find that was misleading people and didn't find it, yet it happens a lot. That is why I asked who/how it was designed first. Curious as to what you think your tuning is, why you didn't line the enclosure, how you calculated the area, how you calculated the length, and so on. There is no such thing as resembles. It either is or isn't. Sort of like taking a sealed box made for two woofers, removing one of the woofers and saying the box now resembles a ported enclosure (since it has a hole in it). I know perhaps I am perceived as aggressive on the forums but my actual purpose here is to truly understand why there are people who think T-line's are good for cars and how they think they are designing them. A reference for where they learned what they think they know would be interesting to me as well. So, that being said. How did you come about this box design? you prove your point, and yes you do come off as aggressive but you are only trying to help educate people on why and how they build things right? and here is the link that i got my information from. for what it is it does what i want it to with lots of port. http://www.*****.com/board/topic/1828-quarter-wave-t-line-tutorial-updated/

    t-line for the jl's

specs on the box are 33 wide, by 15.5 high by 24deep with the line at 7" by 14" with a total length of around 7 feet i believe. it sounds amazing for these subs, they play well into the high 20hz range with no problem and still plays up to 60 hz.and this may not be a proper t-line its just how i learned and as i keep building them i keep gettin tips to make them better and more proper. here are a few pics of them in the car, would get vids but the alt crapped out last night so theyll have to wait to i get that fixed.
