Yes. Obviously you would need a recone too.

The Q sealed will not be as loud as a ported W7.
-
Whatever amp you buy will have a gain knob. If it is too loud turn the gain down a bit, it is as simple as that. Was the w7 ported or sealed?

how so All of the other forums are having some very uneducated debates about the Evil, it's cost, and SSA in general.

Pull the driver out of the enclosure, and check the felt pad on the back of the cone. You can also try lightly applying pressure on the cone, and see if you notice any scratching noise from the voice-coil rubbing. This^ and play it at a low volume free air to see if you can identify what is making the noise.

The Q sounds like a good fit. The Sundown amp would be a good choice as well.

These Evil subs sure are causing a lot of commotion.

I have ordered a lot of stuff from SSA, and I know that it is hard to wait but it is worth it. I would rather wait for an awesome product coming from a company with honest and hard working owners than receive something quickly that isn't up to par. You guys will be happy once your stuff arrives!

If tape helps what would be better to use the ca glue or epoxy?? No if the tape works you can use some ca glue or epoxy which will hold/look better. Huh? Lol huh what? He asked which would be better to use: epoxy, or ca glue. That is not at all how I read it the first time.

What in particular makes you say that? Not sure for his reasoning, I do know some key points that may be. Cheaper build time of only 7 business days (although only one motor left at this time with new ETA of 90 days) higher rms Company is closer to him ~20-30 pounds heavier Really not much cheaper (according to the price posted here) once you factor in the cost of shipping. Shipping would pretty much equal the price out. Tried finding a website with specs on them but google returned nothing but a facebook page. I can pick them up if I needed. So no shipping costs. Maybe 35 bucks in gas? Higher RMS, I know the design and the reasons for the different little ques other motors don't have. I know the owner too, so that helps, probably makes slightly biased. I'm not putting the evil down. Price per performance doesn't seem to be there. Maybe if the evil was 550-600 tops it would seem better. If you know the owner and are so close how come your not running their subs? Just curious He won the IA contest.

Just do some searching, there is plenty of info on the subject of skar and Kevin the owner. -

Skar is garbage, and again it depends on which specific amp you are referring to. -
It is the effect that your specific vehicle will have on the frequency response.
