Xobx 360 error codes
ricksi30 replied to Sencheezy's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
Had one when they first came out and it crapped out after a year or so. Bought a new one a few months ago with the Kinect bundle (Figuring they gotta have it figured out 4 years later) and it got the red rings during the first movie I watched. 360's are absolute pieces of shit. -
Hahahah "Why isn't it working?" BOOM
-
I agree, but I can't hate too much. If it's accurate and under $139 I think it's pretty cool. But I'll take a handheld Oscope for that price.

So I am wanting to build a new box for my 3 sa10's mainly just to see what I can make these things do with different tunings and box volumes. They are pretty underpowered for now on an aq1200d at 1.33 ohms. My current box is 4 cubes net at 34hz. Just wondering if I should go down in volume or keep it the same? The main reason for building a new box is just for fun/practice I have the wood and time and want to try something different. I will build another new box when I get more power. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks -Rick

Which of these 2 amps should I use
ricksi30 replied to Dano 00TA's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I don't know much about that autotek. From what I can tell it seems that you have both, so if it were me I'd throw em both in and see which one sounds better. -
(2) Sundown SA-10D4's and Crescendo BC2000D

Doesn't sound like a sq build to me -
So something new on the way...anyone need some diamond 15's lol??
-
So my buddy got a great deal on some Diamond Audio D6 15's . He ditched the Sa-12's and this is what we did. For the amount of power they are getting they absolutely slam.

Solid state hard drives maybe? I think haha. -
Btl vs Q. I don't get it?? Goals for the setup?
-
Firstly, do you have the electrical system to support this? Yes, I'm going for a quad-alt setup. This will be in a Tahoe that I'm in the process of buying. Plus four D3100s and an S3400 in the front. Electrical will be no problemo... Awesome should be sick. Maybe check out Crescendo.

Don't be too worried Jacob is great with CS. They have a partial closure this week though so it may take a little longer than usual. But he is "Sundownz" on the forums.

Yeah man tomorrow were doing the box for my Sa's. I'll take a bunch of build pics.

New Amp, Not as Loud
ricksi30 replied to whatmh5's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The mtx is 800 at 2 ohms. So I doubt you would notice much by increasing power by that little. But it shouldn't be less. How did you set the gain on the mtx? Anything else change like deck or eq settings? -

You shouldn't see a significant increase or decrease in output. Why would you switch? -
Maybe a Fi q. What else can you compare to the Sq you are looking for?? Edit: Oops didn't see that there was a second page.

Only fire forward it you seal the trunk. Expanding foam, wood, and other things were used to ensure that the trunk is completely sealed. It sounds great and I don't think it would be wise to listen to it with the seats up if thats what you meant. Oh, my buddy use to have 2 12" kenwoods setup like yours but in a sealed box, but he only had like 200 rms total, i really liked how clear it was and not so boomy compared to when in a trunk facing back.....he had his back seats up and had no probs,.....maybe you mean since its got the big vent...to keep them down? what if i were to do an install like this with the vent in the middle and have the vent in-line and matched up with the backseat arm-rest as a blowthrough....IE not blocking the vent at all? would that work? In most cases with a trunk car facing toward the rear is the most ideal unless you seal the box from the trunk.

Sundown 1500.1 or Audioque 2200d
ricksi30 replied to beatindowndablock247's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
He needs 1 ohm stability. If you meant Audiopipe. If you meant Planet Audio they can be had for about 200 shipped but I wouldn't compared to other options in his budget. -
Look at Second Skin.

I am as well, but for this application the Audioque is a better fit. -

Aq2200 gets my vote. You can also consider a Cadence ZRS-7500D http://www.woofersetc.com/p-8481-zrs-7500d-cadence-3600-watt-1-ch-competition-amplifier.aspx -
going active again!!! new questions
ricksi30 replied to jonbearsmt's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
I'm actually interested in the same mid/tweet combo for an active setup, so I'm tuned in.
