I just know that if the amp gain is turned much lower the subs sound like they have almost no power. Do you have the bass boost knob plugged in? Yes, I have a bass knob. Tuned the amp with it to max. Unplug and re-tune. Do not use the knob and make sure it is unplugged.

Say it does, do you think they would replace it? Not likely as you have it on over twice its rated power.

Do you mean add a second baffle? I would add a second baffle it won't affect the tuning or box volume by much.

Not trying to be a jerk, but are you sure you can't fit a dual 12 ported box? What do you drive? I'm curious because the two IDQ's ported would probably make you happy. I drive a Camry but have a little false floor with the spare still in. So it's raised maybe 3" or so? I mean I could shove a 5 cu ft box in there but don't really want to. Plus for the hr or two I did play with the subs they weren't taking the 1200 watts to nicely and that was in a small sealed box. I doubt they'd take that kind of power in a ported box. You should be able to get a ported box in easily. Also IDQ's should not have any problem taking 600 rms each.

The original owner of Second Skin was Anthony Collova(sp?), and a year or so ago, he sold it to Ken. The Second Skin warehouse is ran by a handful of people. They have dealers throughout the United States, and various other countries. The Second Skin Rep (dealer) was in charge of making all the posts regarding the contest on the forums. Initially I asked him about using the discount after 30 days, since he was making all the posts for it, he told me it was best to talk to Ken about it. Which makes perfect sense. Ken personally answered my email. I personally purchased the product from Ken, there was no "place" for confusion. so when purchasing the product you stated "hi ken my name is _______ im one of the guys you sponsored and we were e-mailing about a 25% discount" or something along those lines? or is he just supposed to remember you off the bat? maybe youve met him before? *sighs* I went to the shop the following day. so i dont see a follow up e-mail stating hey im showing up tomorrow i look like such and such... you cant expect him to give that discount to everyone who shows up "tomorrow" especially if you didnt even state thats when u were going. Seriously?

Type r's are hard if not impossible to beat for the price. One of my first setups was two type r 12's, and for the money I spent I was very happy.
