Go to a local car audio shop. They usually have a lot laying around, my shop just gave me the ones I needed.

One 12 is most likely not going to be louder than two 10's. As for securing the box I really wasn't kidding. Having something that heavy loose in the cabin is very dangerous.

Sorry if I missed something but if you are talking 2.25 net why aren't you considering a 12" GCON? How much port area are you using to calculate the enclosure volume/tuning? -

What coil configuration did you order? It will be cheaper to try to find an amp that does rated power @ 1 ohm.
