No problem! Post a build log if you have time. I'm pretty sure you will be the first person running 8 10" DCONs, at least the first that I've seen.
-
The XCON is a great sub, I'm sure if you get a ported box within recommended specs you will be happy.
-
Mark and Aaron are the best. It is well worth the wait, trust me.
-
I say port it and it will most likely be what you are looking for.

Keep the subs on the same plane. The ICONs are awesome subs. Thanks, that answers my question, only worry was the fact that plotted out on graph paper after the port the subs would be very close to touching each other. Will be placing an order this week for two 15" Icons Who would I ask for box designs? I got basic woodworking tools, table saw, cutoff, jigsaw, router etc. Thanks DC creations (they have a sub forum here on SSA) or Ram_designs (he is a member on here) Make sure to post a build log when you get started!

HOLY shit! That look crazy. You have that thing bolted down?
-
Yeah I'd be tethered to a bowl holding Tums too.

Cool! I look forward to seeing it.

I would rather run the ICONs. Not that the ZCONs sound bad but when you mention SQ ICONs immediately pop into my head. You should have enough room for either setup, and I wouldn't use the RE calculator for your final design.

4 6" aeros will be good, the tuning depends on what you prefer. Shoot for ~2.5 cubes net per 12" GCON or ~1.25 cubes per 10" DCON. There are plenty of people on here that can help you through the building process (Myself included). And if you need a design there are a few options as well.

I have personal experience with every line of SSA subs, and tried my best to help you. If you have any other questions I'd be glad to answer them if I can. ----------THANK YOU FOR YOUR INFO------- i was thinking that haveing 8-subs to spred the power would be better than 4 subs and this is the thuck i drive every day i wont loud loud loud with the space i have 2use not numbers who wonts a fart box in there every day driver not me. Either the DCON or the GCON will sound great in a proper enclosure.

I would rather run the GCONs because they will handle the power you have better, and I personally would rather run less "better" subs than a bunch of "cheaper" subs. Not taking anything away from the DCONs as they are a great sub just MY opinion, I can't tell you what you would prefer with the little bit of info that you provided. If you ask more questions and define your goals we can better help you.

Also several other people said they would prefer the cone area advantage of the 10's

I answered your question twice and threw out a suggestion, I'm sorry that you didn't find that helpful.

Inline fuses
ricksi30 replied to Pimp-Juice's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
So if my amp is fused for 150A and my Alt puts out 150, a 150 amp fuse is too small with 1/0 gauge.....? Ahh, just read Impious' post. So I'm fine, then... right? Having a lower than recommended fuse won't hurt it'll just blow sooner. -
Looks good! Anymore pics of what you did with the sono tube? EPIC meal time
