Where can I find a new one???
-
Okay, I really do want good SQ too, I just love loud music, most of which is rap. So what do you think, 2 Gcon 12s. or 1 Xcon 15 I am not looking for hairtricks, (although that would be sick) I just want to have really loud bass that most normal people would consider "way to much" Xcon 15 - 1750 RMS or... the cheaper, but higher rms Death Penalty 15 - 2000 RMS I still have to say for just about the same room for the box, 2 Gcon 12s might give me allot more bass. And I could always upgrade to Icons and a better amp if I ever felt the need too.

Do you think 1 Xcon 15 would out do the SA12s on the same power? I would get this enclosure http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/ported-single-15-subwoofer-enclosure.html maybe even get a better amp eventually that can push it further, but by then I might just upgrade to a Zcon in the same box.

Honestly, I would like to buy a box tuned around 32hz, like the one I have in the link, so 4-6 cubic feet, I would like to stay towards 4 tho.

*Topic moved to Subwoofers/speakers* Soon I will be getting an SUV, and I need some ideas. I want some loud bass thats impressive but not like competition grade i guess. My idea for a setup is Enclosure: http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/ported-dual-12-subwoofer-enclosure.html Amp: my current amp, 1700 rms at 1ohm. Subs: maybe 2 SA-12s wired to 1ohm. I was wondering if maybe 2 Gcons would be better in that box, or maybe two sealed SA-15s in a different box. Im trying to save space and dont want a huge box. Just send me some ideas please. I just want the most bass for my space, and money. *Moved topic to Subwoofers/speakers*

New amp, but not impressed

I got a second hand kicker 750.1 a while back, pushing two 10 inch Kicker CVRs (400rms each) wired to 2ohms so the amp is giving about 750rms. Today, my new amp came in, the Hifonics 1700.1 (1700rms at 1ohm, 1200 at 2ohms, 600 at 4ohms) I wired up my old kicker subs to it, same wiring and boxes, so they should be getting 1200rms instead of the 750. On the kicker amp, i had the gain right below half way, on the new Hifonics amp I have the gain turned right around half way, and it sounds the exact same. Why do I not get any difference with the added 450rms? This setup is also only temporary, 2 Sundown E-12s wired down to 1ohm will be in soon, as soon as I finish the boxes. I hope with the upgraded subwoofers, bigger size, and 1ohm power will increase the bass output. (yes I am aware the amp is too much for the subs, I keep that gain down) -

well I am keeping this amp for 2 future SA-12s or 15s. (or maybe 1 bad ass 15 or 18) Thank you! -

well in my position, the new subs going in would run 4ohm on the kicker, so each subwoofer taking an easy 400, would have to share 375 rms to both subs. So I think wiring down to 1ohm a new amp with plenty of headroom that doesnt hurt my wallet was a good move. -

okay, thank you, that makes allot more sense. Im saving this amp for a future setup anyway, and the new subs I have wire down to 1ohm which my old amp wasnt capable of. I got this new amp for a steal so its fine by me. -

There was an option for that I believe, 0.2V - 9V, and when it was turned all the way to the left (9V) I couldnt hear a thing, all the way to the right (0.2V) played it as it is now. -
I just ordered a 1200rms amp from Hifonics, then, on sale I found another hifonics amp of the same class and everything on sale for the same price, but its 1700rms! The 2 subs im running will take 400-500rms each, so I know the amp is overpowered, but should I cancel my order and get the 1700rms??? I wont lose anything, I just need to know if the amp is too powerful? I would like to save the amp for a future more powerful setup. I have a 2000 mustang, and I only play music while the car is turned on, will the 1700 amp be too much to start my car? or will I notice any difference in power even if I keep everything turned down to only be pushing about 800-1000rms??? Please hurry, thank you!

well, the subs are 400rms each, and Dual 4 ohms, so I can wire them to 1 ohm for 1700rms or 4 ohm for 600rms, so il just do 1 ohm and be very gentle with the gain. -

So I wont have any problem starting the car, using lights, and all that stuff from the bigger amp? I will keep it toned down, and save it for a more powerful setup in my next car in a year or so. -
awesome, thank you very much. I just ordered a 1200rms at 1ohm amp, il keep the gain down I just found a 1700rms amp on sale (same company) for the same price i paid, should I cancel my order on the 1200 and get the 1700rms amp??? I might save it for a later more powerful setup. The only thing i was worried about was my car not starting trying to power the bigger amp. I dont know about that stuff tho.

I have two E12s being hooked up to a 800rms amp. I want to wire them to 2ohms but I don't know how, I need a diagram or something.
-
How do I know which terminal is which on the sub?
-
Ok, well il go amp shopping then, so can give me a guide to use 4ohms now and a 1ohm later?
-
Also the subs are E12 D4. I want them wired so the amp will run them at 2ohms for 800rms total. The amp is not 1ohm stable. Thank you for the help

I typed the code in ordering 2 Sundown E-12s, its not working, HELP??? -
Okay, im going to put back in sealed boxes, but this time for 12s. I am going to get either the upgraded Kicker CompRs, or the sundown E-12s. Each will be in its own separate, 1-1.1 cubic box. receiving about 400rms. Because the box is so close to being under the limit of airspace, should I reverse mount? Or use polyfill?

I have 2 boxes in my trunk. Each identical, like the picture above. My boxes are around 1 cubic foot, with these 2 ports tuned around 33hz each box.. There inside a 2000 Ford Mustang Vert, and there the best I can do. my best response is around 35-45hz in the cabin. My amp is a kicker 750.1 running around 800 or so rms, cleanpower. My current subwoofers, 2 Kicker CVRs. There great subwoofers, but im looking for more, an I know people I can sell them to so I can get a decent return on them. Im looking for the best 10 inch subwoofers I can place in these boxes to get the most out of my system. I am not sure how well different subwoofers preform in different enclosures, so I was thinking... Sundown Audio E-10 (The cheapest, but one of my best bets) Alpine SWS (Or SWR if its worth it) Kicker CompR (The NEW CVR, like I already have) Any ideas? PLEASE and THANK YOU! *Also, I would like to keep the price of the new subwoofers as cheap as possible*

Total volume = 5.333 (1 inch MDF) Port Volume = 0.64 Tune = 31hz Box dimensions Total Box = 38 x 18 x 18 Port = 3 x 16 x 23 Is this a good design for a ported 15, or two ported 12s? If not, what needs to change? also, could the subs be mounted on the top? Would this effect quality or spl?

Oh yeah, of course I will do my best to balance the sound. And I will try to flush mount. Thanks for the help.
