Hi everyone i got my fi bl15 today. i just finished taking out my t215 rockford out of the enclosure and puting my fibl15 in, same amp same everything but different sub was used, results were, both subs sounded same to my hearing, great sub fi i played the same songs i play everyday and i tought as if i had my t215 rockford in the trunk but it was my fibl15, well everyone i just wanted to let you know that both subs are really loud like i said very similar on how loud they can get.

2002 Caddy on bagz...8 Fi BTL 18's, 2 RF T15k amps (new vid pg 31)

thanks man..... i love rockford so much because it is a very solid product and always has been. I support the people that support me so i wear the Rockford and Fi gear as much as hygenicly (*sp) possible. i dont run RF subs because RF doesnt currently make an 18" sub and the 18's they DID produce in the past could not handle the amount of power i put on them at this point. Im an 18" sub kinda guy and they dont have them so i moved on in that area. Thats fine because in the meantime i found what i was looking for and now theres no looking back To answer your other question, just look at the title of this thread lol yeah ur gonna run btl s oops but hey i need ur opinion on something, would you buy two fi bl15 subs or two t215 rockford they both have the same rms, wich ones would sound better more bass. and one last question hope u dont mind, how much do u think youre gonna spend on ur caddy all the sound system??? thanks again. -
two different subwoofer wave cancellation true??
caddyon20s replied to caddyon20s's topic in General Fi
WHY?? do you think a bl is gonna get louder and sound clean, my t2 does really really good but when i bought the fi bl sub i didnt know that its not good to mix subs so I AM A have to get rid of one will see wich one owns. -
can i have this two subs in my trunk?/ each one on its own box, and both boxes tuned at 35 hz i was told that two different subs have what its called wave cancellation and that they wont sound good even though they are both great subs, please help help.

WOW realy nice, i don know if this question has been asked before am a little lazy about reading. what kinda subs are u gonna mount ??? and why do u like rockford so much even ur cap has a rockford logo, ive seen u only use their amps but not their power subs. but hey thats a really nice set up keep it up man. -
Hi i was wondering if anybody out there know what would be a better subwoofer, i own a t215d2 rockford fosgate paid 450 for it sound really good , i was tinking of getting another sub but i wasnt sure if to get another t215d2 since ive been told that they are overpriced this guy sugested me a fi bl 15 fully loaded price is 344 shipped, but im now sure do u guys think that the fi bl15 can keep up with my t2 if not please list some brand and models aout ther that could thanks :Touched by NDMstang65: Sorry if this looks choppy guys, but i merged all of his threads into this one. Moral of the story, don't mix subs.
-
yes i know i have two ams two channel, thats why im getting two subs each is gonna be dvc 2 ohms so i can give a load of 4 ohms bridged to my two ams,
-
that is a good point, right now i have a 3.25 cu ft to my rockford wich is what a t215 need, mmmmmm i think a fi bl15 need from 3 to 4 cu ft right? well 3.25 should do ok on trying to compare the subs dont yall think.
-

caddyon20s replied to caddyon20s's topic in General Fi
Thank you very much that was the kinda answer i was looking for not only a yes or a no, dont do it, its gonna suck, all that thanks scott!!!!, but anoher question now since i already ordered a fi bl15 and didnt know nothing about this, i own a t215 rockford wich sub is better more bass my rockford produces good bass no destortion at all really good sub but this fibl look really good also i guess I AM A have to wait and try both see wich one gets louder and again thanks scott. -

funny uhh. back to the subject we are not here to argue, can somebody desing me a box i have 42"w 18"h and for deep u can go as much as 35"d i need a dual chamber box please, the speaker displacment is .176 and i need at least 3.25 cu ft net per subwoofer tunned at 35 hz, ok here it goes everyone anybody willing to pay that really knows this i will pay u 5$ if u have paypal. i can send u a payment thank you very much.
-
and by the way, i asked this to rockford fosgate people, experts, this is what they say if u didnt read up above. Bass cancellation can occur in a few different ways: 1: Mixing different size woofers 2: Mixing different impedances(ohms) 3: Not providing both woofers with the exact power and signal Honestly it really is hit or miss, sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. Ultimately we recommend using the same woofers across the board, and if for some reason you can't keep them consistent then at least keep them in separate enclosures. and my subs are gonna be 15" both and they are gonna be dvc 2homs both.

i went to this website http://www.2k4civic.com/portcalculator.html i did all my calculations subtracted the speaker displacement wich is .176 put my port dimenssions and thats how i got it. i did my calculations to a rockford fosgate box this one http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/scripts/rig...2%3Afaqs.faq_id and after doing the same process, it game me 38 hz and port length 22.5 same as rockford 15" sub
-
this is my dual subwoofer box please tell me if im wrong, the subwoofer displacement is .176 the materials is 3/4 thick thanks.

Looks kinda funny running two different subs but that would work except the bass will sound a little funny cuz one will hit differently then the other. Here is a forum comparing a T2 to the Q if you
